Mon, April 21, 2008 - 10:01 AMWe had a blast in Colorado this weekend too. The workshops, the show....everything was just awesome. Ocean and Elizabeth put together a great event this year. Everything was so close together, the community so welcoming and freindly...woohoooo just amazing all around!!!!!!
So much I could say but right now I am still recovering and processing all the fubulousness that happened....I mean hang'n with John Compton, Zoe and Karim can it get much cooler =) Seriously the show and the workshops were all great. Props again to Oceran and Elizabeth for making it all happen!!!!!!

It was great for Jasmir to be able to dance for other dancers (we live in remote Steamboat....), and ALL of the workshops were challenging, inspiring, fun, different, and generally awesome! Great to do some networking and meet lots of fellow dancers, and see 2 totally rockin shows! What a great weekend, and I'm not as sore as I thought I'd be! Yah! -

All the workshops were fantastic and I truely loved the mix of folkloric with the more modern forms of the dance. I learned so much this weekend that I will be able to take with me and incorporate into my dance. The community is great, the teachers fantastic and the show Saturday night was wonderful.
Oh, and lets not forget the venders. I got a few choice pieces that will add very nicely to my growing cache.

Tue, April 22, 2008 - 9:16 AMwe Urban Gypsy ladies had a great time.. the hospitality, the peeps, lov'erly conversations, friends made, the atmosphere, the SHOWS!, the absolutely cutest town of Golden, not to mention Paprika & the Buffalo Rose itself, the parties.. the after, after parties.. the music we heard AND the music we made together!
shamefully admitting... Sahira and I were so relaxed and wrapped in an afterglow ...and uummm.... we missed our plane sunday night... (shhoooot!) but we told the airline it was the long security line ( it WAS partly that! ) i haven't missed a plane in forever... i guess we just didn't want to leave? dang!
thanx to all involved for a great event.... i can definitely speak for all the Urban Gypsy ladies.. we had a blast!
