Our favorite Blue Man pulled off a pretty good prank this past weekend, showing up unannounced at the Fillmore show in San Francisco.
I got to SF Thursday night and sent Marty a text message saying that I was in SF to see New Monsoon and wanted to let him know that I was missing him and send him some love. He waited until Saturday lunchtime to respond with a simple text saying, "big love from Las Vegas". He was already in SF and was waiting to respond so it would seem like he was too busy back home to text me back, knowing he would be seeing me in a few hours.
Needless to say, we were all pleasantly surprised to see Marty later at the show. No one in the band knew he was coming in for the show either. He pulled off a great surprise.
It was great fun to see and hang out with him again. ...love that guy!
Who knows, maybe we will have a surprise visit to Houston in March. That would be fun.
