As a dancer an choreographer par excellence from Mahalla (Nile-delta - near the center of the Ghawazee "Sumbat") he began his way in the age of 10 years with a training in ballet, Modern-Dance, Egyptian folklore, drama, choreography, tabla and regie, and worked then with numerous folklore-groups in Egypt.
He finished his training at the balloon-theater in Kairo (El ferqa el steradeya) and established the folklore-group "El Mahalla el Kobre" with which he experienced great success as choreographer during his performances in Egyptian theaters and throughout many Arabian Countries. In addition, Momo Kadous is an experienced actor and dancer and has worked in various cinema and televisions productions in his native country.
In 1974, he founded his own dance theater group "Wadi el Nile" and further developed his own unique style. After a two-years tour in Tunesia he came to Germany in 1987, where he attached himself to the famous Studio Arabeska El Main, and take care about artistic programm of the studio. During this time he created many of the most wonderful and exciting dances for the well-known Arabeska Dance Theater and performed at the premier at the traditional O.T.F.E. Festivals in Frankfurt. From here he went on to become a star choreographer, admired dancer and excellent teacher, not only on the German Oriental dance scene, but around the world.
In 1989 he established the studio "El Karnak" in Aachen. Where he offers in additional to his regular courses numerous seminars and special-programs, for example a special training for teachers. In the same time, he had intensified his engagement with Arabeska, and in 1995, he not only became the artistic director of Studio Arabeska but owner as well, a true follower of the famous Dietlinde Bedauia Karkutli.
In 1997, the dance community was treated to one of the highlights of his inspiration "ZARO, A Drama on Love and Possessedness". This extraordinary Oriental dance theater production involved 21 dancers using different styles including modern, Oriental and ballet. "ZARO"
premiered at the Art Oriental '97 Festival in Frankfurt and was performed throughout Germany during 1998. The success of "ZARO" is regarded worldwide as a real breakthrough in dance theater and an inspiration for art into the 21st century !
Woman from in and around Germany regularly attend his various dance projects in order to learn from his immense knowledge, repertoire of different dance styles and his unique style of interpreting Oriental music. Momo Kadous is known and respected as an institution of art not only in European and Arab countries but worldwide. Another outstanding contribution to European Dance scene evolution.
