Human bodies

Last time I created a 3d human body I made it myself. It was time consuming...but challenging.

That was a good time ago. I have seen some sites that offer a way for you to pay for a 3d model to use in your Maya creations. However they are a pretty penny and may delay many projects if I decide to save up for one.

Anyone know if Poser 5 can export bodies into a format that can be read by Maya?

    Whew...

At least you weren't wondering about burying them or something, like I had originally thought...

Not unless someone asks. For now it will just be a deer anthropomorphic body

You can find some free models at www.turbosquid.com and at www.3dtotal.com

Though I would recomend to build one from scratch.

Yes. Building one from scratch could work. However it will be taking me forever to do. I will be making charactes with human bodies of different proportions s o it would be great if I could have one body to work off of and create other bodies of different fat/height propotions.

I did experiment with poser 5 importing, attempted t o put some IKs and b ind the skin but I dont know if it worked.

Poser models are way toooooooo big on memory.
    they export so many polygons.

Let me know what type of human model you need,
I may just give it to you, since I have so many.........

Also, does the model need to be a high poly count?
And does the model need to look like a real human nude body?
    Male Or Female?
