Tribal: Pura is coming to Saskatoon in the spring!

Carolena Nericcio and Megha Gavin will explore the alchemy of art and science within traditional Tribal Style Bellydance on Saturday and Sunday April 5 and 6, 2008. The Tribal: Pura workshop series has been presented throughout the United States, Australia and Asia since 2003.

Tribal: Pura is exploring American Tribal Style (ATS) Bellydance in its original style, using the guidelines of classical art and the anatomy of movement. It developed from the partnership between FatChance BellyDance (www.fcbd.com) of San Francisco and Devyani Dance Company (www.devyani.net) of Birmingham, Alabama.

The Saskatoon workshop will have material for beginners as well as advanced students of bellydance. Carolena and Megha will present a number of modules that will include warm-up, exploring basic ATS steps, dance formations, theories behind ATS and advanced specialty moves.
