My grandaughter and son
Emily Noelle Rose was born on December 14. She weighs 1 lb, 9 oz and is 12 inches long. This is a picture of my son Dan holding her hand for the first time.
Because she is so very tiny and fragile, and with the assorted complications that come from being so very premature, the odds are not in her favor. As adults, we all know and understand how life can throw us curve balls. When a little one such as this comes briefly in to say hello, all we can do is stand by to support and hope for the best.
