The Middle Eastern Dance Guild of Eugene (MEDGE) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to foster performance, education, and enjoyment of Middle Eastern Dance and music. The organization was founded in 1991, and now has a membership of more than 120 performers, musicians, students, and supporters of Middle Eastern music and dance.

MEDGE Membership is open to all who share our vision to educate and entertain with Middle Eastern dance, music, and culture. Membership is only $15 per year, includes a quarterly newsletter and discounts to MEDGE-sponsored workshops, and lots of opportunities to get involved. Volunteers are always needed.

MEDGE is organized and run by volunteers. Seven elected officers sit on our board of directors Board positions are open for re-election each year. The board is responsible for planning and implementing MEDGE events throughout the year. The board also upholds standards of professional performance and costuming requirements for our shows. Board meetings are open to all members.

Each year MEDGE produces several events: monthly performance showcase; annual dinner and swap meet; International Dance Day workshop and show in April; Fall Festival with workshops and performances in October; Alternative Night (for fusion and experimental performances); State of MEDGE membership meeting, and Harrakat, our quarterly newsletter.
