In the past I have had the displeasure of being punished by either Vics Vapor rub or sports cream being applied to the tip and inside the penis or anus. Is there any harm that can come of this.

Thu, December 20, 2007 - 11:39 AMYep. Neither are meant to be taken internally. The best advice about mucus membranes is to only use things that you can put in your mouth. Wasabi, hot sauce, tabasco, toothpaste, mouthwash, etc.

Recently, I taught a class on enema play at a local dungeon, and my word of advice about exotic solutions and chemicals was: one should never put anyhting in the rectum that they wouldn't eat and/or swallow. The intestines are like a sponge that absorbs most anything including chemicals and alcohol, so I would be very particular about what I introduce into body cavities, including the rectum and urethral opening.

Fri, December 21, 2007 - 7:31 PMhow about ginger root? i love figging and the increasing sensation the ginger provides. i've also use some of the juice from the ginger root on the tip of my lover's penis and it creates a wonderful, hot sensation there too. the great thing about ginger is once you remove it the sensation pretty much goes away so if it gets too intense you can just take it out.

Mon, December 24, 2007 - 9:57 PMBasically, DJ, it's because the mucous membranes will carry whatever they come into contact with into your bloodstream. Not a great idea for a lot of things. Also, that's why wine enemas are so dangerous. The alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream without what is known as the "first pass effect" of the alcohol passing through the liver. The liver detoxifies a certain amount of the alcohol. Also, the fact that the alcohol mixes with other things in the stomach will slow down the absorption. Take it anally, and it just hits the bloodstream.
