Yeah but he was interviewing Carey, so I am guessing you didn't miss much.

It was interesting but. I dont like Carey and I hate all this media stuff... but Denton made him squirm. Might have even made him realise that he is a violent man, especially towards women. He still doesnt get that bit, even though he says none of what was reported happened the way it was said... but stuff still happened that was really violent. It seems his Dad was pretty violent as child.. they were all too scared to even admit that. Didnt want to open old wounds. But with a mother leaving her 3 kids to live in a shelter, Hello???

Id actually be interested to know how many women here have been subject to physical violence in their lifetime. I think it is way more prevelant than people think. I know I have been in one relationship.

Not someone I am super interested in.. - seems like Carey has been a bit of a shit bloke - did he show any remorse ?

I really like the way Denton can delve into someone's life and pull some interesting stuff.. when he interviewed Kyle Sandilands (that repulsive radio guy who is a judge on Oz Idol) it was an interesting interview.. Denton asked him some questions about social responsibility.. and it was interesting to see the denial/lack of recognition of the consequences of some of the ways he behaves..

Might check the vid on the Carey interview when it is posted on the Denton site,. . there are lots of old interviews there..

no Im not interested in Carey at all, but I am very very very interested in the history and the consequential psychology and behaviour of human beings. It intrigued me that seemingly, Carey is the mirror of his old man... but has no consciousness of it, even though he grew up at the bad end of the stick. He has no awareness of his violence or attitude towards women.

That's one of the reasons I love Denton - he can make the bland interesting. .but only because he does the research and takes the air time to explore things and is not afraid to ask awkward questions and can do so without being a prick ..
