about the new members icon? is it all you expected?

Wed, May 3, 2006 - 12:22 PMI like it... it look celebratory.... it's kinda small up there; the larger wh ite part reads first; the un-initiated may not pick up on the smaller figures at first.
In Safari on Mac OS X, I needed to Empty Cache in order to get the icon to show up on all the pages; that did it.

Looks great nonetheless. Good choice.

Not having the old icon up on my browser top so improved the quality of my tribe experience that it took some time for the subtler observation of "hey i actually LIKE the new image and am not just neutral as I am torwards the other icons.

On a somewhat related note, I'd like to take this moment to let you all know that we're making some major changes to the site tomorrow, which include significant changes to the masthead.
Than, please don't take this as a commentary on your work, which I think is quite excellent. The fact of the matter is that the masthead does not provide a lot of utility to our users, and as others before me have stated, it is a bit overwhelming.
There have been some recent changes to tribe that allow us to go back and correct some/most of the problems that came out in the January release, and we're very excited to be close to delivering them.
It's an end of an era for the red and for the masthead.
Tomorrow begins a new day. -
