Re: US Postal Service Kilts??
Mon, August 11, 2008 - 11:26 AMMy carrier is a woman who drives her own car and I wouldn't know her outside that car. Now in the city I used to live in they all walked the routes. I've even seen them whereing the pith helmets and even folks in the office wearing the cardigans.
I'd support the folks who want to wear kilts.
Beat the guys who mace/pepperspray toddlers by a longshot!

Re: US Postal Service Kilts??
Tue, April 21, 2009 - 2:07 AMI guess this is an old post but I just saw it today. It strikes me as interesting because I just noticed the mail carriers last week out on a sunny day. The girls had almost kilt-like skirts and they guys were walking around in baggy shorts. I thought to myself that it would be just fine for the boys to be able to wear kilts if they wanted.
People should be able to wear whatever they want. Whether or not something has a seam down the center or not shouldn't matter. With all the horrible things going on in this world it is amazing that people have the time to give a hoot about the shape of the fabric people want to dress themselves in. Unbelievably ridiculous. -

Re: US Postal Service Kilts??
Tue, April 21, 2009 - 12:54 PMIn an article I read back when this was a fresh issue, the officials were using the excuse that the male mail carriers might have to bend over to pick something up, or go up stairs, or......, leaving open the chance that someone might see something. But, wouldn't that same thing apply to the females? It all comes down to people stuck in their old rut, and not wanting anyone to be able to something the rule writing bullies don't want them to do. -

Re: US Postal Service Kilts??
Mon, November 2, 2009 - 10:37 PMI guess that means that it's okay to look up a girl's skirt whilst obscene to look up a guy's kilt.
Interesting that the official's primary thought seems to be regarding looking up people's skirts. -
