made some gloves with a friend using spandex 4 way stretch.
lay your arm and hand down on a piece of paper , spread your fingers
trace arm and hand, not too close to your skin. = about 1/4" from skin.
add about 1/2" seam allowance, less in between your fingers.
this is your pattern.
cut 4 gloves
pair 2 pieces with right sides (the side you want to show) touching each other, 1 set for each hand. .........tip= don't cut 2 pairs of lefts or rights. ;-)
using a zig-zag stitch, stitch all around.
you might have to do a second stitch around the fingers.
clip, meaning tiny snips along any curves but not into the stitch line
turn inside out.
that's it.
*option = you can hem the top of the gloves if you want. use a zig-zag stitch
you might have to do a test pair to see if they fit your arm and hand.
it's slightly easier to do fingerless gloves.
I've made a bunch of these to coordinate my clothes.
you can use any stretch material, mesh, knits, etc.
