So I was at the fabric store the other day and the clearance bin had some good stuff. I got this piece of fabric, about 2 yards I believe, and I am trying to figure out what to do with it. It looks like a really short cow hide (fur) but all charcoal grey, with patches that go against the grain. It isn't as thick as cowhide, but more like a thick flannel. It's really sleek and beautiful. I have been doing very synthetic outfits lately and would like to have a more "of the earth" quality to it. I just am not sure.
My thoughts so far go towards a well tailored vest, or maybe even into something of a kilt, but NOT if it's gonna look like a utilikilt. No offense just not my look. And to be perfectly honest, I can't see a kilt not making my hips look wider than they are. Yes, guys worry about this as well, well, at least this guy. I got my mom's birthin hips.
So, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Mon, June 23, 2008 - 11:58 AMHats or a bag? Maybe some custom water-bottle holders w/ shoulder straps? Or hell, how's about some gators? (Not sure if that's how you spell it. Ya know... fabric around your calf/ankles...)
