Hi. Just wanted to share pictures of my first and only costume I have ever made. Sorry but I only have pics up on myspace:

This came about because I wanted to save money and make my own giant disco ball. The first problem I had was cutting bathroom mirrors into small squares. They were too thick and even if they were thin it would be too hard to cut into small pieces. So I searched ebay and found a vendor that sells handmade individual mirror pieces. I bought a few 100 piece bags.
After failing to make a disco ball (you would be surprised how hard it is to make one) i was left with a bunch of mirrors. So as a last minute costume idea for a regional burn, I glued them to a mechanics jump suit and to an old fashioned hat. I used super glue/krazy glue. I drank one can of monster energy drink and did the project start to finish in 12 hours straight with a few breaks.
After wearing it at 3 events I have lost 5 mirrors total. And each one I was able to recover the moment they came off. The reason is because you really have to pluck hard to remove any of the pieces, and when it has happened i can feel it and know it has happened. I tried to remove a piece one time and I couldn't even remove it if I wanted to, so the glue definitely really works well.
There are two drawbacks: the suit is kinda heavy and I can't sit on any hard surfaces (well, i probably could but I don't want to find out what happens).
Eventually I plan on filling it in completely with mirrors instead of an every other checkerboard pattern. I haven't worn it during the day yet, i think it might blind people, but at night i get a lot of attention, walking around I get a lot of burners shining their headlamps and flashlights on me and it creates a really nice lightshow on the ground around me.
