thai pants, drive in pants, yoga pants, and much much more. The prices are very inexpensive. Not the best quality by the looks of it but perfect for the price. check it.

Just ordered pants and shirts - and yes the cottens a little rough, and really breathable, but the price is amazing. Shipping was a bit pricey, but good company to deal with and got my stuff in 5 days as promised.

    Thanks for the tip!

      Hi Flash!

Yeah, I ordered from them and they were really prompt and helpful. I went airmail because I'm a cheapskate (not cheap enough for sea mail, though), and can't wait to see where the delivery lands in between the 1 and 4 week mark.

or better still ... make your own.

I'm planning to make my own Fisherman's pants, but I didn't see a pattern anywhere for the Drive In Movie pants, which look really cool (visually as well as by temperature). I put in an order this weekend for some, and I plan on making a pattern from them, whenever they arrive. Maybe I'll post it. Or maybe someone else already has one, and I can look foolish.

It looks like the pattern is the same thing as a normal pair of pants (er, with a really low crotch), except the outseam (is that the right term for it? It's the one that's not the inseam) isn't sewn together, and it's also extended out quite a bit, and the tie strings are added. But I want to see how it's done right, rather than guessing.

Having a couple of finished garments that don't require me to burn weekend time in the last two months before the big event is pretty nice, too.

I happen to know that Dead Meat received and duplicated the DIMPs because I made myself a pair copied from his. This is the first thing I ever sewed, and it turned out pretty good - it's a very forgiving pattern.

I made mine of a fairly heavy fabric and was still quite comfortable in them in 104-degree heat at Dark Skies. The sides (outseams, I guess) are open, but there are two layers there so they only show leg if you move around vigorously - I haven't tried dancing in them, but I imagine I'd be dancing while the pants stood still.

    Thai Craft Warehouse WASHING instructions

    Tue, July 29, 2008 - 5:46 PM
Yeah, shipping is pretty crazy, practically doubles the price. And that website needs some serious organizational help. Perusing 48 pages of pants, having to scroll through every possible size and color and style, just about did me in.

But here's my question: has anyone who's ordered from Thai Craft Warehouse ignored their warnings and machine-washed their cotton clothes? I'd much rather not have to hand wash and line dry....
