  San Francisco's going to be pretty much picked over by now, in terms of playa wear, but you can always try the thrift stores in the Mission (Thrift Town, etc) and the Haight...if you've a somewhat unconventional style (read: not just looking for leopard spots and stripes and fuzzy things or shiny things) you should be able to find some cool stuff!

    I am not into the conventional costumes for the playa (thankfully) and so hopefully I will find something useful (and cheap) at mission and haight.
