... if your Reconstructionist friends discovered that a fundamental and essential part of Druidism was human sacrifice? That to "be a real Druid" you had to build a wicker man and sacrifice a virgin in it? Would you stay in Druidism or would you find another path? OR -- would you redefine Druidism?

Fri, October 26, 2007 - 5:37 PMOne of the reasons we are "Reformed" Druids is that it's alleged that the ancient ones did some bad things (almost everyone did back then). So we've defined a new type of Druid. I would want to put some distance between anyone wanting to revive the wicker man rites for sure. -

LIke Redwood suggests, it's a reformed New Druidry.
I believe that we should take into account modern science/age/social justice/politics & ethics.
Just my opinion.
