I am trying to come up with the perfect anti-depression tincture made to imbibe, so i have to be careful of lithium and metallic based minerals.
Aside from lemurians, rose quartz, herkimers, what would anyone suggest?
The last one I made I through some rhodochrosite, amethyst elestite, herkimer, larimar, blue apatite, rose quartz, and clear quartz.
The one I made earlier today was comprised of citrine, ametrine, jade, herkimer, and lemurian seed
I need to get out of this rut!!!!
crystal prescriptions please!
I am in dire need of a new crystal solution!

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 9:45 AMLepidolite
I recently purchased a piece of lepidolite from a vendor who told me that the stone produced lithium like qualities. (Yes, I know You said that lithium is not an option). He tole me I can put the lepidolite in the hot tub or in bath water for the lithium effect. I said that I might make a tincture with the stone. He suggested to NOT make a tincture, but instead, to place the rock next to a pitcher of water. Here at this house,
we have a pitcher of filtered water sit on the counter all day. The lepidolite sits outside of the pitcher. I cannot say it works for depression, but except for drinking caffeine, I am feeling quite mellow these days.
Teketa, it was so nice that You went with Your intuition. That seems to be the way we are all learning to use our crystal "friends" here at *Crystal Solutions.* -

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 11:42 AMone of my favorite stones, has such a great personality! I had a little tumbled piece that had a rubilite eye in the center, he was a wise stone friend.
He warned me against coffee once at dunkin donuts, told me that the chemicals in the caffeine, sugar, and dairy were all toxic to me and that I should order a glass of water instead. I giggled and ordered my coffee anyways, but low and behold, after two sips I felt sick and could no longer touch the cup!
works great for anxiety

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 11:05 PMA decanter such as this: cgi.ebay.com/Wine-cooler...cmdZViewItem with the separate compartment designed for ice might be brilliant for having the stone near but not in the water.

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 9:56 AMwhy not lithium? that is quite cheery! where i live there is a creek that runs thru town called lithia creek... and it's sweetness permeates the entire town. it's sweet bubbling waters are so light and refreshing! to bathe in .. and to drink!
the whole town is a happy place, and it is greatly because of this mineral! which comes from the stone people here! -

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 11:40 AMso you're saying that lithium is a safe mineral to ingest? I have always been weary of putting it into water- being one of my favorite happy stones. I thought about putting lithium quartz into a tincture wondering if the quartz would protect me from the lithium directly.
I just know that the mineral lepidolite is a relative of mica and i dont want to challenge the integrity of the stone in any way by putting it in the water, I love my lepidolite!!! -

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 12:36 PMwell yes lithium is safe ... although i could not tell you how much ... but it is a well known and highly prescribed anti depressant! / calming mineral! ... i know people who's psychologists prescribe it! ... though like i said i don't know how much is too much! ... there is a lot (relatively speaking) in the waters here ! ... and when i drink them i feel really high! giddy almost! ... kristalina, or !Travis! might know... they are a bit more knowledgeable than me!
also... have you ever worked with flower essences? Bach's or Hummingbird Remedies? Rock Water is quite a pick me up! ...
but Sweet Teketa, I find for myself, and i have been thru some depressions that almost stopped my heart from beating in my chest, ... that emotions ... like any other sense, are a compass... telling you to go in some direction... perhaps do a journey with your beloved lepidolite ... perhaps put her over your heart chakra with some pink rose petals, and cedar....allow her to take you into your sadness, and feel the depths of it ... find the source, and give it love... give it your forgiveness! ... breath new life into the old wounds, and thank great spirit for giving you these lessons, and chances to heal, and love on deeper levels...
when we heal ourselves, we are healing the world! ... so thank you dear! for healing us all! blessings and love to you! you are brave!
... and i hope this isn't too presumptuous of me... i just felt to share this with you.
We are Whole. -

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 12:50 PMstella maris what a thoughtful and awesome response! great advice! just reminded me that unconditional self love and forgiveness is what sugilite embodies.... she purges and brings up and out the deep roots of our feelings and sadness. once i started working with her, i understood self love so much more...after years of putting other peoples' feelings before my own, it was refreshing to realize that self love is a very good thing, and crucial for loving others. i really like kunzite (of course i would say that lol) also for her unconditional loving energies, and she also contains lithium (like lepidolite), you cant make a tincture of her because she also contains about 14% aluminum, but a bath with her can make you feel really good~ ! lepidolite also has the added calming relaxing energies when you are feeling overwhelmed..... you may want to start a journal for getting your feelings out onto paper and out of your mind and for dream insights. like stela maris was saying these feelings show us what direction we do or do not want to go to more clearly. bashar channelings have helped me so much too. he taught me to follow my excitement and joy. what simple things bring you pleasure? surround yourself with those things.... -

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 2:09 PMI also have been through some troubled waters and was prescribed to lithium at one point in time and I didn't like the effect taken internally as a chemical compound, that's why my hesitance. plus, the stone would deteriorate! :(
I would love to try this lithium water that you speak of though, sounds magnificently refreshing!
The tincture I made with the azeztulite and sugilite I also incorporated rose petals, so combining an herbal and stone tincture in one. I constantly have about three batches of stone water brewing up for me in my faery garden.
This is my first time at attempting a combo flower/crystal remedy but I have faith that only the best will come from my highest intent.
I realize we go through these trying times to reveal our true nature, another mirror showing us a blockage in our own energetic field that we must get pass to gain access to a higher level of understanding, it's just a rough process for the heart chakra to go through!
Does anyone know where in FL I can find a decent distributor for kunzite? I have been asking around for quite some time and all the mineral stores around here have no idea what I am talking about, with the exception for Cassadaga who orders their gems wholesale from heaven and earth, and for some reason I have to cleanse these stones for a very long time before becoming receptive to their energies or vice versa.
thank you dearly for your words of wisdom as I continue to learn and grow in this vast universe, beautiful souls, beautiful earth.
Time to put my rose tinted glasses on! -

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 2:27 PMseann xenja from this tribe might be able to find you some kunzite. brazil has some of the best kunzite, and he specializes in brazilian crystals, plus all the crystals i have gotten from him feel very clean and happy....most come directly from the mines.
are there any natural hot springs near where you live? i know here in the pacific northwest many of the hotsprings have lithium in their waters...i have felt the power of their medicines firsthand.....feels very good, calming, numbing and tingling almost. very good medicine. -

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 2:40 PMthere are springs here, but I wouldn't really call them hot. They stay about seventy degrees year round, Ponce DeLeon Springs is by far one of the most refreshing and rejuvenating places that I have ever been. They say the fountain of youth can be found there, I just find serenity.
unfortunately at the moment, during this current economic situation I am jobless and moneyless so I have to wait until the cash starts rolling in to travel the forty minutes there.
Until then, nature trails it is!
I will have to contact Sean about that. Thanks for the hint

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 6:26 PMGo out and lay down on a bunch or river rocks for awhile. They are loaded with energy. On canoeing trips I cannot sleep if there are river rocks below the tent, but lesser time exposures are exhilarating and dispel depression.

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Wed, August 6, 2008 - 6:45 PMteketa to make a crystal essence without submerging a stone in the water- fill a bowl with water place a plain glass in the center, stones inside the glass, then continue with however it is that you make your essences. -

Re: crystal tincture for depression
Fri, August 8, 2008 - 12:09 PMorange calcite (the clearer the better) is specifically for depression, cheap and widely available - I bought a huge chunk of it on EBay plus lots of smaller chunks and I feel a difference just holding them, right away.
There is a hot springs resort in New Mexico called Ojo Caliente (or used to be, probably still there) and they have different channels of specific waters, including lithium water. Went there with some friends in the '80s after a really exciting but exhausting night of dancing and partying and we filled up some jugs with lithium and some of the other waters for the long trip back. The lithium water had an immediate "happy feel" effect that made you relaxed and cheerful and somehow a little bit stoned, but it wore off after only a few minutes. So we all just chugged and chugged and were very sad when the jug was empty. It's hard to say what effect it would have had had we not all been basically hung over from various substances already--but I'd been feeling pretty lousy and the lithium water made it all A-0K. That was at the time when they were still prescribing lithium a lot for manic-depression, but I knew some people who took the prescription kind and really hated it, said it made them feel physically bad. I just googled for a source possibly selling lithium water from a spring and couldn't find anything. I wonder if it would be legal to sell it actually, because my google search brought up tons and tons of scientific experimentation with lithium and I get the feeling it's quite volatile and can actually cause harm. I think quantity is what's important. A little is good, a lot is not. -
