Thu, December 8, 2005 - 12:18 PMyeah her contractions have been consistently mellow for 2 days, i don't know why they haven't just come full force....I think she just drank castor oil a minute ago, i heard a blender running... she's pretty quiet the last few hours, she's been meditating in his room with him. btw..i listened to your hubbies music and it's really beautiful. cheers yall! -

Thu, December 8, 2005 - 3:45 PMYEAH!! it's the raspberry schit! My friend was 2 weeks over-due, and her mid-wife suggested that... worked like a charm! She drank about 4 oz of it, and within an hour she was having contractions about 4-5 min. apart and was dialated to a 6! She had a Cinco-de-Mayo baby! 05-05-05! too bad she was born at 5:47 though.... but it was close! -

That's too fun! If that was me, I'd probably tell people I was born at 5:55, cuz that would just be too cool to pass up.

Fri, December 9, 2005 - 5:19 PMThere are pressure points in the foot. :) You want to get in that area between the ankle and the achilles tendon. DOn't be afraid in get in there on both feet, just don't hurt her, though. :) It's good to do during labor, too, once it's started. Helps things move along.
Keep in mind, though, that like all things, it works for some and not for others. My daughter was 10 days late when I finally had her (I ended up being induced) and I tried everything, including castor oil about 4 freakin' times. :)~ My midwife finally decided she was getting a bit too big to be hanging out anymore. :)
Anyway, worth a shot!
