so this morning we had a doctors appointment to take the no stress test. They checked Akasa out, measuring the fluid in there, the life of the placenta, and making sure his heart beat jumped up with his movements. He is doing excellent in all those areas. We also noticed on the monitor that michelle was having small contractions, which she barely notices as light cramps. We got a little view of his face and he looked so cute, he has big lips as far as we can see. anyway..just giving you the latest.. i'm thinking he's going to make his appearance soon..... aumnamahsivaya

hey one quick little fact in case you didn't know::::
one of the coolest things about a new born if you're breastfeeding (or maybe even if you're not),
the poo doesn't smell! not for the first little while anyway. not until you start on formula.
pretty good news hu? hey, it's the least nature could give you hu? what with having to learn how the heck to take care of a little baby when you've never done it before....little favors
my nephew owen, 3 wks old......poo never smelled so good ;)
      my best. gwyn

aww thanks, you all are so sweet. please think of michelle delivering before friday or saturday so she doesn't haven't to be induced in the hospital, thats what her midwifes say the state requires if she doesn't deliver before saturday i believe... thank you ladies

Yeah it's nicer to get do it naturally, being induced it can kind of sneak up on you and be more of a shock, if that makes sense.

My mum was taken into hospital when she was execting me after I was 9 days late, but she delivered naturally in the early morning of the day she would have been induced anyway.

I reckon a Friday birth. Friday is the best day to be born on ;)

Ugh, I hate those kinds of State laws... makes me a little more happy to be birthin' in my (un-homebirth friendly) state -- where at least because midwifery is alegal, my midwife isn't bound by any kinds of arbitrary laws!

But Miah, I will send you birth-before-Friday vibes, cause I can TOTALLY understand not wanting to get induced!

(Also, I'd suggest you both keep talking to Akasa -- I'm sure you are, but explain the situation to him clearly. One thing I learned about during my best friend's birth is that when you explain a situation very clearly to an in-uteru baby, they understand and make ways to get themselves birthed in a good way...)

        Belly Blessings to you both!

Best of Luck to you and Michelle! This is so cool that you are sharing your baby's birth with the tribe!
It was 22 years ago that I delivered my baby girl, with a 36 hour labor, induced with no drugs........wowoh.......now I would take the drugs!
But point is you can do it!
        YOU GO MICHELLE/mommy!
        Breath!
        HUGS to my friend
