In the sca, I mainly do ME dance, drumming, juggling, and play with fire.
Im also the shire MOAS and baronial MOY, but ill be the first to admit that i am not the most effective bureaucrat! lol

I'm Mariska from Stormvale. I just joined this tribe yesterday. I was excited when a friend said there was a Midrealm tribe! I'll spread the word to my other SCA friends here.
I'm a bit new to the SCA. I've been playing nearly 2 years now. My first big event was Val Day this year. I'm hoping to be able to attend a few more events later on this year.
Here's to learning more and to collecting more "stuff"!!

Started with the SCA in Drachenwald back in 79 and they haven't found me sitting still long enough for the Sheriff to banish me. Currently with the Cleftlands although the job keeps me traveling around the country all but a few days a year so I'm more of a Virtual Scadian since 9/11. -

Mon, May 1, 2006 - 12:08 AMGreetings all, My name is Kevin the Kind, a member of House Clovenshield, one of the "Kingless Horde" that will be fighting at War Practice this year, I am just getting back into the SCA after a long absence. I hope to qualify to fight at war practice and I really want to learn archery. I live in the "Downriver" area of detroit. I just got all my armour together, just working on a couple of straps and repairs this weekend and I guess I will start by going to fighting practice out in Madison Heights soon. I would like to get to know the sca folks in this area. I tried this sca comeback a couple of years ago but was slowed-down by multiple medical experiments on my hands..all is well now however.....well I have babbled enough, as I said, I hope to meet many of you soon. take care.....

I live closest to Eastwatch and am a member of SCA, tho not associated with any particular SCA group in the area. The reason for that is because the man in my life lives in Baltimore MD and I participate in SCA (and another medieval combat organization) with his group. We regularly attend Pennsic and a few other SCA events in the Maryland area.
My friend Alexandria (mundane name Linda) and her husband Theo are in Cleftlands. So, I've been to a few Cleftland meetings a while back as my schedule permitted, but it was a long drive during the middle of the week for me.
So, geographically, I'm a midrealmer....does that count?

I am an archer (though not a very good one yet), I enjoy sewing & making garb, beadwork, embroidery, metal piercework, and ME dance. I am also very proud to be a waterbearer for Legio Draconis and am looking into taking up fencing. -

Tue, May 2, 2006 - 9:36 AMMy name is grim, (thorgrim) and I was invited here by Gladius the Alchemist, one of my Pennsic campmates at Pentwyvern.
My lady Kayra and I reside in whatever barony Ashland county in Ohio belongs to, but we don't know any of our local people. It's just about the same distance for us to reach Cleftlands or the Akron group as it is to reach our local group.
We teach mead making on occasion, and at Pennsic. I have been known to fight heavy when not in slacker mode. I am currently building a crossbow for archery and working on another set of armor. We mostly only attend camping events.
It will be interesting to see if we finally meet some of our local people here.

I've been in the SCA since birth (my parents met at Pennsic 4) and am now raising my two children (four and fifteen months) in it as well, which is a challenge in a group with fewer kids in it than I'm used to. My husband is Giovanni Boccia (or Jerry), and he's involved as well.

Mon, May 22, 2006 - 4:37 AMHaha! Yeah, I suppose something good did come of some of the Pennsic-small-numbers . . . my dad remembers *all* of them, but my first was . . . twelve, I think. I was three or four years old and I ran away to Unca Bahadur in Horde camp because 'Daddy's mean!' or something and got taken straight back to my grandma's in Youngstown around Tuesday. Needless to say, I didn't get to go back until I was nine or ten.

My name is Avelyn and I am from the Barony of the Flaming Gryphon, House Paragon Keep, same as Sayyida (my “petal sister") who is on this tribe as well (she got me onto tribe).
As far as the SCA goes I tend to keep myself fairly busy. I am the new Baronial Chronicler and will be apprenticing in the fall. I also have a habit of raising my hand and volunteering for things (its a volunteer organization, right?!?!)

When I first moved to Chicagoland, I was in Vanished Wood and literally couldn't find a soul.... left emails, voice mails, etc and nothing. Moved into the City and started playing with TGS. I've been in back in Vanishedwoodland for 6 years or so and still call TGS my home.
They *do* exist though... I've been to one of their events.
