I just wanted to make sure everyone has information about this weekend's workshops and hafla in West Lafayette! Here's the run down:
Saturday, April 12th Purdue Co-Rec West Gym
11:00- 12:00pm Registration in Lobby
12:00-2:00pm Workshop with Jenn: Cuppa eurphoria:
Infusing undulations into everything - slinky movements on the downbeat, transferring energy up, down and side-to-side and letting go without getting lost. Don’t let the music fool ya – these snakelike moves transcend all genres.
2:00-3:00pm Lunch, Registration
3:00-5:00pm Turkish workshop with Deniz: Learn the differences between Turkish and Cabaret Style dancing! Learn combos and techniques to move to the music. Bring your veils!
HAFLA!
6:00-7:00pm Set up for Hafla (not set in stone…still looking for right venue!!)
7:00-10ish Hafla featuring performances by Il Troubadore, Deniz, and Jenn, vending by Donna Carlton of Audrena's International and Deniz, and the sketch artist John Oilar. There will also be snacks and plenty of open dancing!

9:00-10:00am Registration, shopping with Donna Carlton and Deniz
10:00-12:00pm Workshop with Jenn: Perfect Blend:
Find the perfect roast in your dance by knowing when to turn up the heat and when to simmer. We’ll be drilling faster combinations and blending them with the sinuous stylings drilled in Cuppa eurphoria.
12:00-1:00pm Registration, shopping with Donna and Deniz
1:00-3:00pm Lebanese workshop with Deniz: Learn the differences between Lebanese and Turkish style Bellydancing! Learn hip Techniques, Stomach, and floor work! Bring your veils!

$30/2 hr workshop
$50/full day
$90 - Sat & Sun workshops

So Purdue double booked our room AGAIN, so we've had a slight change in the times of the workshops on Saturday. However, it is still in the Co-Rec, and we will have someone in the front meeting people to tell them where to go.
the revised schedule is:
Check in will be 1-1:30 in the South Gym of the Co-rec.
First workshop will be 1:30-3:30pm
Check in for the second workshop will be 3:30-4pm
Second workshop will be 4-6pm
The Hafla will still start around 7 pm, but we'll have the performances start around 8 to give everyone a little extra time.
I'm very sorry if this causes ANY inconvenience!
