Have you used milk thistle for Leaky Gut Syndrome / Candida?

In October I was very ill and every doctor I saw told me I was find and to go home. Eventually I had a liver pannel done and my enzyme levels were WAY out of whack. They thought I had Hepatitis but I tested negative 3 times. I recieved ultrasounds, extensive testing for possible causes (rare and common ) and eventually it just went away ( a few months after I adopted a no fat vegan diet). From what I have been reading LGS is a very common cause of non-alcohol induced liver poisoning.

I have been thinking of taking Milk Thistle for liver protection while I do a Candida/LGS clease. Do any of you have experience with this? How much would you recommend taking?

Thanks for your help =OD

I'm a lay person when it comes to herbs. I would be curious to know how to use Milk thistle in its raw form, and what the benefits are of using it in different forms (tincture, capsules, seeds, tea?)

I have had to take lots of ibuprofin for pain as I cannot take most meds. Also my Doctor had me on Crestor for one week I got so sick we had to stop it right away. Well he ran bloodwork on me to see what is going on and said my liver was great. I have taken Milk Thistle off and on for a long time. So I believe it works.
