<HOW-TO>
When you are given mod-ship, fool around for a bit, FOR A SHORT TIME,
**THEN**
You go to Manage Tribe -> Moderator tab -> then Appoint a New Moderator from amongst the current members... or invite someone in and make THEM moderator.
Don't fukking give it to someone who never ever logs onto Tribe.net anymore. That's already been done a few times, and has lost it's charm, somehow.
Also, no TRIBE SUICIDE while holding office. Unsubbing of an alt-moderator has been done already, so don't do it again. Or at least do it in a timely manner, NOT after holding the tribe hostage for over a month. Suicide was funny, but trying to kill the tribe by holding for many weeks & doing NOTHING is just annoying.

UPDATE (again from matt l)
I have changed the format of the list so that it is easy to match moderators to tribes, and so you don’t have to scroll to the f-ing bottom of the list to add your name. That was just retarded, not to mention annoying, and some people just couldn’t figure it out. So as we approach the magic number 100, we are now doing this MY way. I didn’t ask AXJs permission to do this either. This was my arbitrary decision as mod (for the third time this month I might add) to do this since I figure I make a pretty good benevolent dictator when time permits. Love me.

Oh, when you don’t put your name on the list, the next person gets to do it, but in a mocking tone. So there. That's what happens when you can't RTFM.
