Hello and thank you for being such great friends and fans of the Merry Misfits of Doom. You are all a big part of the show and the success of this group. I cherish the memories of doing shows for you, of your laughs and smiling faces. This letter is going to address what has happened the past few months to the group and to me, in hopes answer any questions and quell any rumors.
Last October my family experienced a very sad event. My daughter and her mother were involved in a very serious car accident in which my daughter was seriously injured and her mother passed away. Needless to say this was all very sudden and changed our lives greatly. I suddenly found myself being a single father through very tough circumstances; my daughter found herself having her entire life changed. I love my daughter very much, I love being her father. The choice was a simple and easy one, but required some huge changes in our lives. Choices had to be made; things had to be put aside. The Merry Misfits was one of the later.
Now that things have settled down, it’s time to slowly start getting back to things. Getting back to what I love to do. Making you people laugh and feel good. Back to performing. Back to the Merry Misfits. But first I must address a few things.
The most important being this: I could not have made it to where I am today without the support of my fiancée Anna. She has made all of this possible through her love and strength of character. Baby, you are so much stronger than you think you are. I love you and thank you with all of my heart. And I apologize now for whatever dumb things I will do on stage in the future. I love you.
Thank you Wylie, for waiting patiently for things to get settled and never knowing when or even if things were going to pick up again. For the asinine things that I said when I was tired and didn’t know what was going to happen. For taking care of business while I dealt with personal issues. For not replacing me when there was doubt if I were to return. For being a friend through it all. Thank you. And I apologize now for whatever dumb things I will do on stage in the future. I love you.
Finally, but in no means leastly, you, our friends and fans. For those of you who knew what had happened and all your kind words, it mattered. It made a difference. For those of who did not know, thank you. Thank you for allowing us to entertain you. Thank you coming back time and time again, to challenging us to become even better performers. Thank you for all the support, suggestions, and silliness that is so needed in our lives.
Thank you for laughing.
Sincerely,
Greg “Cuter Than Wylie” Jones
P.S. And I apologize now for whatever dumb things I will do on stage in the future. I love you.

Wed, August 1, 2007 - 10:59 AMYeah yeah, Greg blah blah blah. He's got a fabulous fiancee and apologizes for the stupid stuff on stage.
Really it all pales next to the chance to smack you in the junk with a baguette. That Greg is such a lucky guy.
