MISS APOGAEA BEAUTY PAGEANT !!

”WTF is Miss Apo?” you ask. It is one of the the biggest events at Colorado's regional Burning Man festival, Apogaea. Miss Apo showcases the best of our freaky community’s talent. For inspiration, click the pics on the upper left of this page.


There will be a:

COSTUME CONTEST: Yes, a strut in your most fantabulous playarific "Night of the Burn" outfit.

TALENT CONTEST: Play an instrument, build something with your genitals, sing, tap dance, self-mutilate, perform a skit, etc. No fire spinning or live ammo. 3 minute limit.

CHARACTER CONTEST: Contestants who make the first cut must answer a question to establish their, um, character.

SECRET FINALIST CONTEST: Totally new, you definitely don't wanna miss this depravity.


PRIZES: Freakilicious custom crown and cape, sashes (duh), $$money$$ (don’t quit your day job), and go on to represent Colorado at the Miss Black Rock City pageant; not to mention fame and copious sexual solicitations.

CELEBRITY (not) JUDGES: each easily swayed, if you know what I mean and I think you do.

All this plus an all new incredible opening act.


Yes, boys too can be contestants. Hell, in 2005 one even was crowned queen.

The pageant will be held on the main stage of Apogaea at Happy Ass Ranch (really) west of Colorado Springs. For general festival info, surf apogaea.com

**CONTESTANTS** Be at the main stage in costume by 7:30pm Saturday. Get any music you require on CD to Milkman then or beforehand.
