in broad daylight with many folks all around and lots of traffic, i was beaten during a robbery on mission at 26th.
i have blogged about it which helped me get out some of my upset. but the worst thing about it was that even though i was screaming for help and everyone could see me getting beaten, NO ONE stopped to help or even call the police.
i've gone from loving the mission to being frightened to go there.

Tue, May 15, 2007 - 11:25 AMI am so sorry to hear/read this. The Mission has greatly improved over the past 12-15 years and these sort of things happen far less frequently. But it's still upsetting to know that anyone is getting hurt anywhere ... and that folks aren't responding to cries for help.
