Mission Yoga Wish-List (Stuff)

To get what you want in life, you have to know what it is you want, put it out to the universe, and then just wait for it to come to you, right? That's what I believe, and so far it's proven to be true.

To that end: the Mission Yoga Wish-List. Here's a place for all of us to post a list of stuff we would like at the studio. This is actual stuff to aquire, whether it be by donation, trade, or cash money. Please post your wants and desires here, but only actual stuff. Ideas and intangibles will go into another thread, lest we get ourselves confused!

I'll start a small list tonight of things we're always looking to find!

Terra cotta pots
Hanging Mirrors
Art to hang on our walls
(Are you an artist ready for a show?? Talk to Juicy or Steve23!)
Soy candles (perhaps you know a wholesaler?)

After one week of no 'net due to an SBC screw up, we're back up. We've been unable to check in clients, check our web scheduler, run credit cards, check email, etc. It's been really unfortunate, and SBC didn't even apologize or attempt to make it up. Jerks!

Patrick drives Yoga truck over class on his way to New York

Then backs up to wipe up any survivors.

Holy Cow! That was quite a class tonight. Since Patrick teaches both the 6:30 and the 8:15, it technically wasn't his last class here at Mission Yoga, but he claims it was his strongest in San Francisco. That's a pretty big claim, but I'll agree that was the most intense class I've had since I've been here.

It had all the elements of a good class - it was rather momentous, it being his last night; there were 37 people in class, which led to really strong energy; where I was standing I could see 7 teachers, all driving each other deeper; and everyone worked really well together.

Thank you everyone who was in that class. And for you beginners, just know that it isn't usually that intense, only if you're really lucky will it be that good.

And a big Thank You to Patrick for your energy, your passion, advice, and all that you've done for Mission Yoga. Best of luck to you in New York, they won't know what him 'em!

Free! Wednesday Night Vipassana Meditation

Join us on Wednesday nights at 8pm in the Sun Room for Vipassana Meditation with Megan Cowan. This is a free class, with instruction in the Vipassana Meditation technique.

Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was taught in India more than 2500 years ago as a universal remedy for universal ills, i.e., an Art of Living.

See you there!

Stay tuned for info about a grand-re-opening in June or July. In the meantime, we're learning the ropes and doing a few things to make the studio ours. Please feel free to send me suggestions. We definitely want to hear what our students want!

Hey all!
We're in full swing with the new Sun Room on the third floor of Mission Yoga. This was our first week, and we had a wonderful turn-out. Our new teachers brought many new faces to the studio, and we saw a few of our regulars in the new Flow classes too.

Monday, 6pm, Intermediate Flow (all levels welcome)
Tuesday, 6pm, Flow Fundamentals
Wednesday, 6pm, Intermediate Flow
Thursday, 6pm Intermediate Flow

I started these crazy rumors that we might be opening another room upstairs from the studio. I'm still waiting for the landlord to come through with the lease, so we can make this a reality.

At this point, I have some ideas, but I'm open to suggestions. Anyone got any ideas? What kind of classes would you go to?

If you've gotten to know me over the years, you've figured out that I'll give the students whatever they ask for. So this is your chance to create something new! Dive in there!
