A group for beginner, intermediate and professional players, students and lovers of the Middle Eastern folk shawms. Includes Egyptian mizmar, Turkish zurna, Moroccan raita, Tunisian zukra, Iranian sorna and kerenai, even Indian Shenai and Chinese suona. Also related reedpipes such as sipsi, mijwiz, arghul, etc.
There is very little accurate information out there, so let's share what we know!
