I am not alone in the idea that water retains and responds to energetic input as well as brings with its own patterns and poetry. Perhaps, much mystical and poetic thought has expressed similar ideas in various ways and now science is investigating and validating this view.
What say you to this aspect....water....the mother of all life and our most ancient record?
...no water no life.

Intelligence is omniscient in the permission of life to have existed here. There have been deluges that obliterated all and earthly existence. Beings on earth lie in the balance of waters balance...ice caps, etc. We are composed mostly of water and perhaps Lewis Carrol expressed the dichotomy best in the image of Alice swinmming in her own tears.
Klamath River Tribes, fishermen, and citizens are fighting to remove PacifiCorp's Klamath dams and BRING THE SALMON HOME! This is an opportunity of a life time to have these antiquated fish-blocking dams decommissioned and removed.

The fate of the dams is still under negotiation and Portland based PacifiCorp, the dams owner (Warren Buffet being the company's largest share holder) needs to hear from the people of the Klamath and all those who are supportive in person!
visit to sign an online petition against this atrocity...

Pascua-Lama is a project aiming at exploitation of a very rich field of gold and silver in the high mountains south of Atacama, at the border between Chile and Argentina, in an area approximately 150 kilometers southeast of Vallenar and 300 kilometers northwest of San Juan.
The singularity of this project comes from its situation and exploitation conditions. At an altitude of over 4500 m, the gold fields lie under two glaciers feeding the rivers of Huasco Province. The mining company, Barrick Gold, intends to remove a substantial amount of this ice to clear way to open pit mining, and will invest US$1.5 billion in this project, which is planned for 20 years of exploitation.
The project has been controversial due to the potential environmental impact of its unusual situation and conditions. It was scheduled to enter into operation in 2005, but has been postponed until the mining company provides complementary information about conformance to environmental regulations. In June 2005 the company has offered to pay US$60 million over 20 years to the local communities for contamination and disruption of the Huasco River watershed. To get to the minerals, it would be necessary to break, to destroy the glaciers - something never conceived of in the history of the world - and to make 2 huge holes, each as big as a whole mountain, one for extraction and one for the mine's rubbish tip. If the glaciers are destroyed, they will not just destroy the source of specially pure water, but they will permanently contaminate the 2 rivers running from glaciers so that they will never again be fit for human or animal consumption (because of the use of cyanide and sulphuric acid in the extraction process).
Marcel Claude, the executive director of Oceana, the environmental NGO protesting against the mining project has expressed their reserves in front of the canadian embassy (Barrick Gold's homeland)in Santiago.
“Pascua Lama will probably not pay much in taxes (in Chile) and its impact in terms of jobs is insignificant,” Claude said in a press release. “Therefore, we can say with conviction that (Pascua Lama) will contribute absolutely nothing to Chile’s development.”

so i have always had this idea, that through multiple sources of creativity, i would like to help raise awareness of water issues throughout the world. My dream is to make some dance projects in connection with some of the places where the water is either in extreme need of care and repair, or has somehow remained pure. I am also interested in studies about water (emoto) and cultures/religions deeply connected with the water (dune; or in today's reality the hindu faith and their constant offering to and from the waters). I would love to open a dialogue about special places of water to make pilgrimage to, damaged rivers in need of support, our own emotional water, sweat, tears, acid rain....pour it on!!!! If you know of any organizations, peoples, projects, tales connected with the water, please share...

i will begin with a moment in Java, my first confrontation with purely muslim culture. I arrived there sick, coming to study dance with a very special artist Suprapto Suryodarmo. I look at his work as true shamanism (although he would probably not claim such a title), he dances purely with the elements...in witnessing him move next to a river, he is no longer seperate from it. However, i was more ill than graceful during my time there, and also curious to understand all I was feeling as the only visible foreigner (besides a very tall, older german buddhist nun whom i travelled with) in very impoverished muslim indonesia. Before coming to work with Prapto, I had a brief dream-like vision of dancing with him in the slow javanese style (like improvised tai-chi). We were dressed in silk kimonos. So while in the city of Solo, I decided to buy some silk. When i chose the material I wanted and came to pay, i found myself about 50 cents short. For most of us, that is nothing, but for most people in Java, it is significant. A muslim woman next to me insisted on paying for it. I left trying to hide the tears from my eyes, having touched for a moment the other, having accepted the generosity of this woman. And as I walked through the crooked city sidestreets, mangy green hair and weeping eyes, I found myself somehow in a deeper dialogue with the water inside.....

greetings, just wanting to have a place to preview some of the work i did in bali, to share with friends, and open dialogue in collaboration...there are many colors of the pieces, i will slowly post more...also fabrics range from outdoor gear (fleece and poly blends) to cotton/lycra with a bit of leather and metal....my biggest goal was to make some clothes that i could feel both funky and comfortable in with absolutely no inhibitions in rolling around a dancefloor...global indoor/outdoor dance gear. yeah. seriously. i can't take it off (but that would be nice too).
