Re: BM 2009
Thu, January 22, 2009 - 8:42 AMFirst off: Buy the ticket without hesitation. Just do it.
Arrange a good ride and my recommendation for your first year is read the survival guide (I know I didn't my first year) and bring what it says. Otherwise pack minimally and go for the experience. Eddy is right, there is nothing that will prepare you so it is best to just GO with the requirements to keep yourself healthy and do it up. Hard.
I found that after my first year it was much easier to prepare for the next year because I actually knew what to expect! -

Thu, January 22, 2009 - 5:21 PMdon't believe em... burning man is boring. nothing to do there. you can't even buy a burger and beer.
don't go. that way you won't have to endure a full on paradigm shift and reassesment of your life and values.
it's much easier on you this way. i promise.

Re: BM 2009
Thu, January 22, 2009 - 5:47 PMThis playa desert land mass thing slowly digests all organic matter with it's alkaline properties and it's extreme sweltering heat.

Fri, January 23, 2009 - 10:00 AMalso; money is worthless on the playa.

anything you forget/want will be there if you desire it.
