    Ha!

    You're gonna freeze to death.

With temperatures well below zero hypothermia and frostbite (it's less deadly, but more unsightly and permanently disfiguring, cousin) take place in a matter of minutes. Hypothermia occurs when one loses body heat a faster rate than it can be generated. Paradoxically by the time hypothermia sets in you actually cease feeling cold. Your body can only tell you what the temperature is relative to your skin temperature. As your core body temperature plummets the air temperature begins to feel warmer and warmer by comparison. As this is happening your body is also re-routing blood that usually goes to your brain to your internal organs in a last ditch effort to keep your organs from ceasing to function. The result is delirium. As you become more and more delirious and the the air feels warmer and warmer by comparison you may decide, like many who die from hypothermia, that you are overheating and begin to shed clothing until you freeze to death naked in the snow.

Frostbite occurs when exposed skin actually freezes. The skin goes from red to white to gray to black. When it turns black you have frostbite and tiny ice crystals have formed inside your cells puncturing and irreparably damaging the cell walls. When the area of exposed skin/digit/limb thaws the frostbitten area will not heal. It will fall off, leaving permanent scars and disfigurations.

Dress warm. And WELCOME TO MINNESOTA!

Not sure about the Wednesday night meetings. Most of us are in hibernation this time of year. A burner-friendly event that will be going on while you're in town is the Art Shanties on Medicine Lake.

Eddie you are evil man..... But all to true. Dress in layers and try not to spend to long outside. Standing out side for long periods of time in Minnesota is reserved for people of Norse decent. and people with a death wish. But yeah, welcome back to MN man.

Mike you are obviously starting to suffer from the delirium associated with hypothermia....

...you should take off all your clothes and run around outside.

          It'll be fun.

          Come on.

All the other flying jellyfish are doing it...
