Abstract: This tribe is a simulation of a new community. The premise is that the crash has started things are deteriorating in the country. There are not riots in the streets (at least not too many) but it is plain to see that they are not far off. One person in your social network has announced that a 1000 acre tract of land is available to move onto. It is undeveloped but has a stream, backed by mountains and some woods on it. You have a day or two to prepare and leave. You will only be able to make one trip (it may become necessary to forage for supplies and equipment to grow the community that is TBD) in the vehicle that you now have. You are allowed to make one trip to buy supplies for half a day before you pack and leave (I really needed to). What would you bring? What skills to you bring to the community? Who will come and who will stay?

Community Goals: The ultimate goal is not to be a minimalist survival community but an community that is sustainable, is in harmony with its environment, will be able to provide advanced knowledge and research for other communities.

If you join this tribe: You will need to contribute information about yourself, what you would hypothetically bring to the community. A form framework is provided to help you get started. I ask that you provide information about what you would do / be able to do and the time in which it would take to aid the simulation. I and I think others that join the tribe would like to see if this would be a success or if everyone would die. What it would take as a critical mass of people, knowledge and just stuff to make it a success.

Please feel free to make as many suggestions for what is needed and community goals.

Simulation goals: This is a thought simulation. So please try to be rigorous and honest with objectives and timeframes to complete things. If this “community” looks promising I may want to code some of the concepts, rules and “if-thens” that people in this tribe offer into a real simulator. Everyone would be welcome to the software and / or any information obtained from it.
