Does anyone know much about how to interpret T-squares in the natal chart? I'm trying to understand mine and would appreciate any advice/info. I have a T-square involving my scorpio moon as the apex in the 7th house (also conjunct Saturn) squaring Leo Mercury (also conjunct Mars) in the fifth house and Aquarius Jupiter in the 11th house.

Would be helpful if you would post your chart.
If not in the photo section of this tribe, in your profile photo section.
If you have trouble, ask and we'll help.

Re: Understanding T-Square with Scorpio Moon as Apex
Thu, July 26, 2012 - 6:23 PMi think it would act like a midpoint combination
Moon = Mercury / Jupiter
MOON TO MIDPOINT MERCURY/JUPITER
Emotions inspire impressive ideas and welcomed solutions. A pleasant
conversationalist, liveliness. Talkative or lively women. A
lively exchange of thoughts. -

“. . scorpio moon as the apex in the 7th house (also conjunct Saturn) squaring Leo Mercury (also conjunct Mars) in the fifth house and Aquarius Jupiter in the 11th house.”
My Two Cents - Part One:
Moon at 14 Scorpio18 is conjunct Saturn at 22 Scorpio 04 in the 7th house. Mars at 18 Leo 00 is squared that combination from the 5th house. But, while Mercury at 13 Leo 19 is in a 5deg conjunction with with Mars, he is a full 9deg away from being square Saturn.
IMO, Mercury is not square to Saturn, per. se. and Mars is not in opposition to Jupiter. Mercury is in opposition to Jupiter (4deg); Mars is not (almost 10deg). Further, Mercury is in a tight trine with Uranus, and Mars is only 5deg away. Solely from Mercury’s viewpoint; an already quick and slippery mental character is free to dream up most anything (ADD style) including some really off-the-wall stuff; can call up a powerhouse of energy, and (with some maturity and discipline) bring it all to fruition.
Then there’s that node sitting in the first house only 4deg from exact opposition to the Moon . . .
There is a pot load of slack in this “T-square”. I wouldn't say it is, but would suppose, with some effort, you might be able to get the configuration to act like a T-Square. Squares aren't necessarily bad. They create tension, worry and "Why me?" but if treated nicely and fed a wholesome diet, can get things done that need to be done.
Part Two tomorrow - it's almost 3:00a.m.

Fri, July 27, 2012 - 7:50 AMThank you all for the info. Great stuff!
Edward - I'm wondering if you're saying there isn't a T-Square between these configurations. It seems like the t-square is between Mercury, Jupiter, and the moon. I think Saturn, Mars, and Uranus give some interesting input but are not necessarily directly involved. Let me know if I misunderstood what you were saying. I look forward to reading part 2! -

"Let me know if I misunderstood what you were saying."
I doubt you misunderstood me; am certain I misunderstood you.
Was under the impression you were including all into one T-Square.
The T-Square involves Mercury, Jupiter and the Moon, in the 4th, 10th and 7th houses. However, the more traditional Astrologers would include another "body" into the picture; the North Node. The North Node (NN) is identified with a glyph similar to the sign Leo, and in your case is located in the 1st house at 12 Taurus 05, which happens to be in opposition to the Moon. Like the Moon, the NN is square to Mercury and to Jupiter. This, of course, is a Grand Square. Further, as the NN is directly associated with Karma, it is a Karmic charged Grand Square, primarily involving 1st house issues.
Should be noted Karma relating to the NN is future oriented, not past debts which must be paid. The the way for one best to grow in order to fulfill one's promise. Some would say it's the soul's destiny.
Therefore, this is about self-identity, self-awareness, and general world-view attitude. To a lesser degree, (well, not much; part of the package) it's how the world sees you, and how you instinctively respond to life challenges.
Oh, now that's just great - come in the door with a T-Square, and get handed a Grand Cross - with a truckload of Karma, no less.
I wouldn't leave a tip. . .
Disclaimer:
Personally, I don't buy too heavily into the "soul destiny" stuff. Think we have various paths we could follow through and there's no perfect single answer. The internal development aspect I think is far more important.

In my last post, I called the double square formation both a "Grand Square" and a "Grand Cross". The usual name is "Grand Cross" which I don't care for due to the unwarranted emotional content/impact of "Cross to bear", or "Crucified" analogies.
A good discussion about the Grand Cross may be found here: astronuts.tribe.net/thread/5...d4dde86ac
