Moon's Nodes in Astrologypublic - created 08/26/06 |

The Moon’s Nodes are the two opposite points in the zodiac where the Moon crosses the plane of the Earth’s orbit. The North, or Ascending Node, is the point at which the Moon moves from below to above the ecliptic plane (from south to north celestial latitude). At the South, Descending Node, the Moon moves from above the ecliptic plane to below it.
In Western Astrology, the South node represents where we are coming from, past ways of being (either in the past or in past lives), and attitudes that we are comfortable with but that don't serve us anymore. The North Node represents where we are karmically travelling to in this life time, qualities which if integrated into our lives can help us grow and and positively transform.
