Using decanates for interpretation

When I study a chart. I always use the decanates. This applies to the Nodes aswell. For instance, my North node at 24 degree's Aquarius. Therefore it's sub ruled by Libra. It certainly has been my aim to look towards the future, but to strike a harmonic balance. That can be easier said that done. But it's important to strive towards it, and find the neccessary energies as and when they are needed.

There is no future without balance. The Aquarian influence can be stimulating,. yet this energy can go off the rails.

It would be interesting to see what other's think.

yes, I definitely think it's valid to take decanates into account. mine's in 4 degrees Pisces, tightly conjunct my Mercury and Vertex, which puts my south node in the 1st decanaate of virgo.

I can totally see the differences, cause most of the people I hang out with have their south nodes in the cap decanaate of virgo, and they're a lot more focused on getting technical skills, and proving themselves socially, whereas I'm just neurotic, and a bit obsessive-compulsive.

I use decantes and dwads in the chart....it helps explain...at least to me...what influences that particular planet in any sign.....Such as Gemini at 1 degree is in the decante and dwad of Gemini at 3 degrees the decante is Gemini but the dwad is Cancer...its like a coloring book...the dwads add the tone.

The book "The Secret Language of Destiny : A Personology Guide To Finding Your Life Purpose" by Gary Goldschneider , Joost Elffers deals with the decantes in the nodes.

Its an interesting book, with 3 pages of information for each of the Destiny paths of the North/South nodal alignments

i think the decantes and dwads are really interesting when looking at aspects being formed in a natal chart.

also i have read that the 15th degree of the signs is very strong in showing that signs characteristics. i wonder if the dwads play a part here, since at the 15-17 degree of sign the dwad is the polar opposite...

an example is my NN is at 16-17 capricorn, the dwad is in cancer... that fact that i have capricorn on the 4th house just adds another twist.

i have a libra ascendant with uranus in the first, my ascendant is in aquarius decante & aquarius dwad.

I have my mars in aries decante, venus in taurus decante, and mercury in virgo decante.

my venus in cap i never connect with the interps for this placement, but knowing my capricorn venus is in taurus decante and taurus dwad adds layers.
