Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Sun, September 9, 2007 - 4:22 PMI got it the opposite way... Taurus North Node/Scorpio South Node....
How I think it relates to me... is by coming to the same answer regardless how deep I dive or dig into a subject... Or an issue. First impressions seem to make lasting impressions.... With some self-doubt of things coming a bit too easy. Though I have South Node in the 3rd house,as the house placements add more color and spice to the nodes...

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Tue, September 11, 2007 - 10:22 PMYes I have Scorpio North Node inThe 12th house (this means that I have to release control over thinking that I have to take everything step by step and analyse everthing as I go along (sth node Taurus in 6th house)
There is an amazing bookde called "Astrology for the Soul" that goes indepth with your north node, explaining that the South Node is the habit pattern from the past life, so you are comfortable expressing yourself and life energy in the way iof the south node, but if you can embrace the ways of the NORTH NODE - then we shopuld experience a better life flow and unlock the habit pattern of the sth node that can keep us stuck. -

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Wed, September 19, 2007 - 2:50 PMWow. I have Scorpio North Node in the 6th. I think it means I have to learn how to balance my world and "the world of others." That I can't be so stuck on my form and to allow myself to gracefully change and I guess all of that is supposed to happen through service... to whom or what -- I'm not so sure. -
-
Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Wed, September 26, 2007 - 9:41 PMHmm 6th house is about work, health and routine, maybe you were thinking 7th house when you said balance with "others" that sounds very Libra 7th house to me.
-
-
Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Wed, November 7, 2007 - 4:45 AMUm, thanks for the reminder. However, I was speaking about the nodes as I have read that one has to learn to find balance between them rather than swerving hard in the direction of either extreme. I understand that "balance" and "others" are key words for Libra.
-
Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Wed, November 7, 2007 - 4:46 AMAlso, it wasn't "others" but "world of others" -- which should have been the clue that I was not talking about Librian concepts at all since South node in Taurus folks generally have to be reminded to come out of their own worlds to see what is going on... in the world of others.
Peace!

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Wed, January 23, 2008 - 6:27 AMthis idea does not hold in my view both the nodes are, like feet, used for walking this journey in life.
basically the south node is the sowing, the north the reaping. the midpoints flowering and decay respectively. there is a lot of nonsense written about the nodes in my view. -

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Wed, January 23, 2008 - 3:58 PMI think one of the reasons there is so much nonsense as you put and disagreement about the nodes is that they are shadow planets. They don't have substance, and so it becomes more difficult to decipher their meaning.
I couldn't tell who you were responding too. With these long threads it helps to address your post or even include a quote when responding to somebody specific.

Wed, October 3, 2007 - 1:58 PMI have Scorpio North node in the 10th. I find one of the most important things is to give the grace and appreciation to others. The more I support others and give them props and encouragement the more I feel supported.

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Tue, November 6, 2007 - 2:17 AMI also have Taurus North Node... Scorpio South Node. In 4th house, S.N. conj Saturn. There have been times in my life where I feel like the one buried in the beach in the sand by a few sassy-assed kids. Blood pumping fervently through your veins, eyes nearly popping out of your skull, desperately gasping for air while the buggers proceed to throw more and more piles of sand on to your helpless form. Like..... whhhhhat lol scary tbh but the inevitable changes are usually more of a blessing that I'd ever like to know. -
-
Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Sat, November 24, 2007 - 11:40 PMAWW,, Im sorry to hear that.. you are buried in sand lol
I have N. node 22 Taurus in the 10th ., S. node in scorpio in 4th house.
Cant say Ive never been felt =put apon.. Altho this subject is intrique ...s node in scorpio.. or s. node in 4th house, in particular leads to unhappy beginnings and endings.. My family did not give the support I needed from them or the feelings I could succeed at anything.. After I discovered the value of my north node allowing me to 'start again' , this time on a practical and one-step at a time process... is to acquire security and purpose--a practical purpose in life..
Maybe that is to build my worldly world or a practical profession==in order to take care of my ADULT family responsibilities
Its said of the position.. Schulman) that s. node has done much 'evil' and must atone.. owing to the closest family memebers 'something'.. Now WHAT that is is open for suggestion
My s. and north node are squared my a 2nd house saturn..in leo.. and that tells how hard it really is to attain development in 'establishing' myself in a new rheign.. area.. Pluto 14 leo is technally is square my nodes ALSO so its hard to tell exactly WHAT im responsible for!!!.. serving self? or serving others? In this I must keep a balance.. , and aware of what Im doing and why..
The subject of karma..or our past ..OUR old talants, abilities and experiences are RESOURCES.. to be drawn apon when we need them. I think scorpio s. node shws Ive spent too much TIME on trying to understand and peiced together the old mysteries. Im suppossed to keep a basica life this tije..
North Node in Taurus ..it is about acquiring a more solid foundation.
Awareness and my "mission' is accomplished by setting some basic rules to Life and accomplish my tasks.. List my Priorities.. dont complicate my life MORE by so many obstractions
Pardon: the north node in scorpio people I know PERSONALLY take a very long time 'digesting' , sometimes getting stuck.. However, they search for the source .. the root of every issues.. Like the sun sign, they dig and dig for 'the trueth' , sometimes not being able to 'keep it simple'.. and the paranoia and mistrust in others or 'situations' always thinking there is SOMETHINGELSE< SOMETHING MORE> Yes, that kind of digging produces much information of all the levels , of this earthly level, and all the other 'levels. , be they metaphysical, psychic, scientific.. The nodal scorpio WANT to be of service to others,,The make excellent psychologists.. even if a tad self concerned
for opposite n=s node relationships.. can be troubled.. the North node of one side isnt WRONG to zzero on their own path, once they find it... but the opposie north=south node thinks those activities a waste of time, could develope an aversion to others not 'doing it right'.. Is a gut reaction fo different aims in life.
s. node in scorpio== hunches on your past lives and their own..
Ive talked too much.. Opinions?

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Wed, December 5, 2007 - 9:19 AMI have my North Node in Taurus in the 7th house / South Node in Scorpio in 1st house.
I have no idea what that means though.
Any clues anyone? -

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Sun, March 23, 2008 - 2:46 PMIt means that your habit from that past that feels comfortable for you is to focus deeply on yourself, but with NN in Taurus it is about sharing, comfort, material things with others ( 7th house) which is where you will grow more and your life will open up if you can remind yourself to share with others more.

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Tue, March 25, 2008 - 9:25 PMTAURUS NORTH NODE/ SCORPIO SOUTH NODE
[from the book "Karmic Astrology: the moon's nodes & reincarnation" by Martin Schulman]
Here the soul is confronted with some of the most difficult karmic lessons in the zodiac. Past lives have been strewn with endings as the Plutonian force of Scorpio worked through its process of transformation. Now the individual is so frightened by the memory of having the rug constantly pulled out from under their feet that they develop a defensive attitude toward all who offer them regenerative advice. In past incarnations, you literally went through the fires of hell to burn away your false values. Now instead of falling back on the remains of Scorpio still within yourself, you must build, through Taurus, a new set of substantial values to live by.
Nearly all with these nodes have at one time touched the force of Witchcraft, and so in the current life there is a rude awakening about any remaining residue of the lower Self.
In past incarnations, you had to deal with a powerful sex drive which kept throwing you off balance. As a result, you're used to seeking gratification through relationships which ultimately become destructive to the ego. Then, confused and embittered by all that you see toppling around you, you're almost glad to aid in the destruction of whatever little remains.
Most of the conditions in this life are still controlled from your subconscious level, buried deeply below the scrutinizing eyes of society. You may appear jovial and friendly while you're, in fact, planning some mysterious adventure of intrigue inside.
The chart must be studied carefully to see just how far your soul has come out of Scorpio before an accurate interpretation can be given. For those who are already closer to Taurus, the violent churning of Scorpio is purposely avoided at all costs. For those barely out of Scorpio, the internal revolutions are still going on. Planets conjunct either Node will pull the individual toward that Node and literally force them to live through it in their current life.
For all with these Nodes, the past residue of revolution is such powerful intensity that there is bound to be some after-effect spilling over into their present life relationships with family members and close loved ones.
Each day seems to be filled with new emergencies, until one crisis built upon another creates such a turmoil of conflict that the individual is reduced to their most basic struggle for survival. You don't yet know the art of moderation or how to take things at face value for you still believe that others always have an ulterior motive. Inside, you feel that you must constantly escape from punishment, and in your escape you leave behind you a tornado-like shamble of all you once held dear. At times, you see others turning on you but rarely do you stop to see that you are the cause. Whether you're still scting out your past incarnations in Scorpio or advancing through Taurus, your fixed stubborness is very much a part of your ingrained way of doing things.
You will make much growth when you are able to see the actions of others as reflections of your own subconscious!
From past incarnations you've become accustomed to attuning yourself to a peculiar brand of intensity, which when not allowed to express itself, turns to anger. You have become deeply scarred with the pain of being hurt, and now like a wounded animal can be deadly to any who represent the slightest threat. (I find this to be so true!) On the lower levels of consciousness, those with these Nodes can pursue their prey with a personal vendetta. Then when the peices fall, they appear to be the innocent victims while they're, in fact, the carefully planned victors.
Due to the intense emotion constantly seeking expression, a variety of creative outlets are needed.
Sexual desire must be transmuted into Divine Love. All embittering conditions from past incarnations must be dropped from your consciousness until the new seed of peace is discovered. The Scorpio south node must burn the bridges of the past and resolve to benefit from the lessons of Lot's wife: "Never look back!"
Through the Taurus North Node, you must learn not to dissipate or waste power that flows within you in valueless areas. Your greatest achievement in this life occurs when, through the development of a great love of the Earth, you live on. You start to appreciate glimpses of the source of your unfailing supply and support. For lifetimes you have misused your energy, drives and desires, feeling alone against all the oppressions and afflictions that affect mankind. Now through the sensitive impressions of your Taurus North Node, your are to be brought to the awareness that the abundance of the universe is so great that you'll always have what you need when you need it. You must learn to distinguish the difference between the words WANT and NEED, for although you may not always be able to realize what you want, you are surrounded by what you need at every moment.
As you reach for your Taurus North Node, you're reaching, at last, for stability. You can stop chasing all that you've ever felt cheated of by seeing all that is now offered to you. Ultimately, you're destined in this life to reach a state of contentment as the seething volcanoes of Scorpio melt into the blue spirit waters of harmony in Taurus -- where the beloved Gautama Buddha left his blessing. Truly, this is the transition from lifetimes of war into a garden of peace.
The house position of South Node indicates the area in life where any remaining residue of the Scorpionic battles must be conquered, while the house position of the North Node shows the area in life where the new awareness of trust and security can ultimately replace the underlying struggles.

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Tue, January 22, 2008 - 11:55 PMWell, my north node is in Scorpio in the 8th house... I know I'm supposed to go in that direction, and leave the south behind, but what that means on a practical level, I don't know.... -

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Tue, January 29, 2008 - 8:44 PMdebra i think i have the same as you! also taurus south node in 2nd and scorpio north node in 8th..
i'm really interested to read everyone's thoughts and feelings on this, it's fascinating!
It was related to me and it resonated with me that in a past life/pattern i was in a kind of comfortable, religious almost amish community where there was a lot of support and spiritual community but i wasnt allowed to express my own voice and individuality in relation to that.. it resonated because at one point ten or so years ago i had very acute 'throat chakra' blockages.. also had a lot of tonsilitis from a young age and have repeatedly found it a challenge to stand up for myself and my right to exist/ right to empowerment in relation to others and especially on a spiritual level that is different from my own community.. i was brought up in a traditional orthodox family.. this seems to be my interpretation of the node issues i have!! the scorpio north node is definitely digging up the truth and refusing to follow something i haven't fully investigated first or that doesn't, again, resonate in some deeply fundamental life affirming way.
nobody said it was easy!! it is sometimes easier to fall back into the perceived 'comfort' of old patterns than to stand up for and swim upstream with the change that brings new life.. but then this is the work.. as a wise old saying goes.. "the work is not yours to complete, neither are we free to desist from it".. -

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Sun, February 10, 2008 - 3:06 PMMy NN is in Scorpio in the 5th, and so are Uranus and the Part of fortune. I know this 5th house position, for me, is about the desire for selfexpression: loving it, needing it, fearing it, feeling i'm not allowed to act on it (or else my head would be chopped off), but trying to anyhow.
The NN in Scorpio i haven't figured out at all though.
What Connie has to say about "digesting" sounds really familiar!
I would love to learn more, and more... -

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Tue, February 12, 2008 - 8:12 PMOk well here's my 2 cents. Using sidereal zodiac my nnode is in scorpio in the 1st with sun, venus, and neptune. I find that when I want something I can become compulsive and obsessive (scorpio) I tend to want to eat drink, in my past indulge in other not so legal things. But all this can be attributed to neptune in the first I'm afraid conjunct the nnode. Depends on which astrology you use, I'm leaning towards jyotish these days, but find that all forms of Star Study have their value -

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Tue, February 26, 2008 - 6:36 AMJust a posting derived from a friend's chart and experience. She has that aspect.
Taurus is somewhat coasting in life and stuffed in materiality.
At one point, destiny serves the bull a rude awakening because it is the next evolutionary step in accordance with the chart.
There is a children's story of Ferdinand the bull. Ferdinand is delightedly happy in his field until he is bitten by a wasp. Unfortunately, there is corrida bull buyer passing by exactly at that moment and gets what, Ferdinand, having been judged talented, ends up in the corrida.
My friend. after her husband death ended up with a very manipulative man (and his whole violently dysfunctional family) for thirteen year where she gave and gave and gave. She finally ended up leaving when she had a heart attack because her heart was literally broken.
She learned an incredible deal from the experience. All of a sudden, it was not just in books but etched in her flesh.
She had been a scholar but now she knew.
You can evade a painful experience by hoisting yourself up the next step yourself and keeping an open -mind. I do not know the details of your chart so perhaps you are already open. If not, expect an initiatory event to wake you up, possibly rudely.
It is always a good idea to hoist yourself up the next evolutionary step anyway.
The sad part now is that the woman is still "In love", even though she is very lucid of the man's shortcoming. Or maybe she is in "obsession".
She is still loving and feeding that black hole. I am trying to get her to stop in this life as not to attach herself unnecessarily sine desire creates links.
You thank the person for having provided the experience and played its role and you move on. Taurus does not move on easilly.
I know the guy and find him repugnant and unattractive, not impressive at all. He hold an powerful job and makes loads of money. There were even talks that I should marry him, something that I would never do. I would give him an extremely hard time. Since he is very instinctual and unenlighted Scorpio I think that he knows that. Maybe he would do that in atonement but he is not that masochistic. You see, if I am not completely delusional, I used to be his father in a past life and I can still get him to quiver a little.
I hate how he is and what he does and would try to destroy him. I won't go there. It is not useful.
He is not really part of my lesson, not that strongly nor is he a blind spot.
I have my own lesson to learn. -

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Tue, February 26, 2008 - 7:34 AMI also know people with the reverse aspect, Scorpio South node and Taurus North: business people with unusual eyes and strange psychic talent from the past but now leading quiet lives while glimpsing suspiciously over their shouder. Well the times used to be rougher. They sometimes look more Scorpio than Taurus.
Something else for theTaurus South node folks. There is no need to plod anymore. You can now move very quickly. You pace is naturally picking up. -

Having NN in Scorpio in traditional studies and SN in Taurus does not seem like a picnic. I might like to try NN in Taurus for a while. When I think of my SN in Scorpio I think of this
Rolling Stones Song:
Love and hope and sex and dreams
Are still surviving on the street,
Look at me, I'm in tatteres!
I'm shattered
Shattered.
Friends are so alarming,
My lovers never charming,....(this is a funny lyric but true)
Laughter, love and loniness and sex and sex and sex and sex,
Look at me, I'm in tatters,
I'm a shattered
All this chitter-chatter-chitter-chatter, chitter-chatter bout
Shmatta, shmatta, shmatta --I can't give it away on 7th avenue
Work and work for love and sex,
Ain't you hungry for success, success, success, success,
Does it matter (shattered) does it matter?
Im shattered
Shattered
Pride and joy and greed and sex
Thats what makes our town the best
Pride and joy and dirty dreams and still surviving on the street
Look at me, Im in tatteres, yeah
I've been battered, what does it matter,
Does it matter, uh-huh
Does it matter, I'm shattered,
Shadoobie doo, flatter flatter, Shadoobie-doo I'm in tatters.
Shadoobie-doo, I'm shattered.

Sun, March 16, 2008 - 3:51 AMHi ENIAD....
I find what you have written fascinating and intuitive. I have Scorpio Nth NOde in the 12th house and Taurus Sth NOde in the 6th house.
I find that when I let go and release worries, overanalysis and just go with my intuition my creativity and spiritualty my world opens up, BUT i dont think I have experienced the fastness of movement that you mention. I still feel like it is taking me years to progress with certain things on the material level, I have to say though spiritually things have improved a lot.
any advice for a Scorpio 12th house NTh NOde, anything intuitive fro you would be appreciated. ")

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Sat, March 22, 2008 - 9:07 AMMy natal chart's "true node" (north node) is Taurus 25 (degrees 56 minutes 44 seconds), in the 11th House; south node in Scorpio in the 5th House. Are these basic interpretations that I’ve found on the Web useful?:
North Node in Taurus represents a need to get in touch with your own self-worth, your values & awareness of comfort zones, what feels good, what doesn’t, relying on your own talents and resourcefulness (Taurus). The South Node in Scorpio represents a longing for close bonding and mutual empowerment with another person. The old pattern is to attempt to do this by buying into another person’s system of values and priorities (Scorpio). Your longing for a fulfilling intimate relationship will only be satisfied when you focus on your own strength, your own values, your own priorities. When you do so, the right people will appear to support your goals.
North: There is a need for the person to be more integrated, playing his part in society and to contribute as a member of a team. They are more likely to succeed with the support of those who can help in making contacts within the community or show a high level of inventiveness or resourcefulness.
South: The individual has learnt to take life seriously and not to treat it as a game only for them to play.
Other data from my natal chart, in brief:
Sun - Virgo
Moon - Leo
Ascendant - Cancer
Majority of planets in the first five houses.
(My chart is shown on my Tribes profile page.)
I know little about astrology, but am trying to learn about myself. Thanks…

Re: taurus/scorpio nodes
Thu, June 11, 2009 - 2:00 PMyes, i've got this placement in the 5th house,
someone wrote in to me that this means i will be learning to spiritually evolve thru my creativity in this life,
i just know it's extremely hard for me to "let go" of stuff, people, ideas whatever,
but that's just what we're supp to be learning too, to burn bridges when appropriate, not "stubbornly cling to all that comes near us" haha like my favorite book on this subject says by Martin Schullmann "North Nodes and Reincarnation"
