Hi Everyone
I'm sad to say that it's time to sell our van. We have loved this van for many years and it has been an absolute joy to own, but it's time to move on. We have had so many good times in "Betty". From month long camping trips to full moon excursions, to summer festivals, to "let's get out of town, stat!", she's housed us through it all and we'll be really sad to see her go.
I'm putting this out to our peeps in the hopes of keeping the van in the family. Nothing would make me happier than to get to hang out at some party in her again.
So here's the deets:
-1985 Volkswagon Westfalia Camper Van.
-200,000+ miles
-Rebuilt Engine
-Rebuilt Transmission
-15" Off Road Tires (lifted from the original 14", better mileage and handling, and it looks better!)
-Secondary Battery with Power Inverter Setup, which automatically switches to the second battery when car is off. Can run electrics without draining startup battery.
-Detachable face CD Player with detachable speakers (in stand-alone speaker boxes).
-Full working stove (propane), refrigerator (propane or electric), water (12 gal) and 2 swiveling tables.
-Plenty of storage space.
-Pop-top with 2 beds (can sleep 4).
-Extra removable "Jump Seat", for additional 2 seats. (on rails).
-All curtains and accessories included and in good order.
There's a ton more little upgrades which just make it that much more pimp, you'll just have to see them to understand.
What it needs:
-Touch Up Paint
-New Pop Top Canvas
-Front and rear bumpers (just for looks, the ones on there work fine but are dinged up)
-Possible replacement of 2 parts in the transmission (we have the parts, but it's only a precaution).
-Lots of Love
I'm putting it for sale for $8000, but I'm willing to go lower to keep it in the family.
With the right t.l.c. this van will run forever, it has been great to us and we're sad to have to let it go..
Please contact me soon before I sell it to a stranger, it'll sell quickly I'm sure.
Feel free to forward this to anyone you think might be interested.
Hit me up at brian@moontribe.org if interested.

Thanks

Not so much....
She will get you there, but she definitely takes her sweet time getting there.
Although I have heard there are several conversions you could do to a Westy, like putting a Porsche engine in, or a veggie oil conversion.....
Ahh the possibilities
