Re: make up a word day
Wed, November 4, 2009 - 1:19 PMThere's a chinese healing method involving applying pressure to the foramen in each eyebrow, but it's painful as hell. It always works for me.
How: take a knuckle and run it along your eyebrow until you find a tender notch in the skull - this is a foramen, a hole where a blood vessel passes through. You sit up and lean forward, and apply as much pressure as you can to the most delicate and painful area of the foramen. Hold as long as you can. If you're doing it right, the sinus dialates and mucus drains down your throat. In five minutes or so, a nostril that was completely clogged will be breathing easy. Do this on both sides, both foramens beneath each of your eyebrows. It's painful, but it works like a charm for me.
Anyway, hope you and your foxlings feel better soon, Raposa!!! -
-
Re: make up a word day
Wed, November 4, 2009 - 3:09 PMi know you raposa. you eat a lot of baked goods. baked goods = flour + sugar. the favorite food of candida albicans. cause of most sinus infections. also, cavities and root canals often turn into tooth infections, which lead to sinus infections. tooth and sinus infections are potentially fatal and must not run longer than a few weeks.
ezinearticles.com/
www.candida-yeast-explained.com/si...tml
solution:
> luke warm neti pot daily with 1 tsp sea salt
> do not eat flour or sugar (no pasta, bread, cakes, cookies, baked goods)
> even rice and grains feed the candida, quinoa is an excellent substitute
> check your teeth at the dentist for cavities and infection
> if you have an infected root canal i would pull it, that's what i did
> breath eucalyptus oil throughout the day
> take a few drops of oregano oil in hot tea several times a day (watch out, it burns. do not get it on your skin. it will eat your face off)
> eat raw garlic several cloves a day (it burns, so you may want to blend it into a veggie smoothie)
> take a whole box of probiotics, then the rda
antibiotics will get rid of your infection temporarily but the infection will typically return because antibiotics kill off your much needed gut flora which is what keeps candida in check. candida then takes over your body again, sometimes worse than before giving you an even more dangerous sinus infection. also by taking antibiotics you may build an immunity to them. this is how people die from staphylococcus infections in the hospital. they have become immune to the antibiotics. this is why holistic prevention and treatment is the only way to fly. if you let it get too severe and holistic treatment is not working, sadly you must put yourself at antibiotic immunity risk.
be careful raposa. this is nothing to mess around with.

over and out. lol -

Re: make up a word day
Thu, November 5, 2009 - 4:11 AMthank you for the advice critters!
i had a bad tooth last summer & the doc wanted to do a root canal but i said no way. i'd rather have it yanked & that's what i did.
i actually have been laying off the baked goods since i've been sick. i've been eating pumpkin seeds, fresh fruit & vegan soup. i'm very careful about antibiotics because i know how dangerous they are. i haven't had any in 2 years, which was the last time i had a sinus infection. my doc keeps telling me to use flonase nasal spray but i've read some articles about that & it makes me nervous. so i won't use it. i'd rather stick to the neti pot.
but i'll check those out! thank you! -

Re: make up a word day
Wed, November 11, 2009 - 5:41 PMmush better, fank you soop! i feel like my den has been visited upon by the 7 plagues. i had a sinus infection, my daughter got a bad chest cold & missed 3 days of school, then mr. fox & i both got the cold (on top of the sinus infection), and while i spiked a 100.6 fever & was delerious, my daughter got sick to her stomach & was projectile vomiting all over her room. she was better by monday so i sent her to school, only to have her be sent home by 10 for "what looked like it could be head lice". after we went through that rigamarole, she then came down with a uti & we were at the hospital last night. so far, no catastrophes today. but it's only 8:40pm. pleanty of time for disaster. this is why i haven't been around much lately.
so yeah, my new word is disasteroni caserole. because that's what my life is like right now. -

Thu, November 12, 2009 - 7:46 AMBad spells, oof. This will pass. We just need to give our dear Raposa all those lub lubs. That will help drive away the bad spell. Of course, if Yoda cared to use a little Force, I don't think anyone would object.... -

Thu, November 12, 2009 - 11:20 AMNever tried the Force for such things. I'm 30 inches tall and I can lift Chevys of the ground, and I never have to ask people to hand me screwdrivers, but helping immune systems is not my forte. -

rg: 7 plagues
Thu, November 12, 2009 - 3:33 PMraposa dear. if you like, take five large green collard leaves, wash with hot water, tear them up and put in a blender. then top with water, blend for one minute and strain the green pulp out with a wire strainer. pour the green liquid into glass and sweeten with stevia or drink unsweetened. this will boost your immune system and fight cancer and candida. you may drink regularly to keep the sickies away or drink while sick to support recovery time.
candida is also known for causing uti infections and weakening the immune system.

here's the test

hope you and your little family feels better soon. -

Re: rg: 7 plagues
Thu, November 12, 2009 - 3:51 PM"here's the test
www.ninazu.com/tests1.html "
My problem with the spit candida test is there doesn't seem to be a way to tell if you have *normal saliva* and *no* candida problem: if it floats, hovers in the middle, or sinks to the bottom, you have a candida problem. It doesn't mention what your saliva will look like once the candida has been brought into a healthy balance. I can only assume that if I did an entire candida cleanse successfully and redid the spit test, that my spit would float on top without stringing downwards after 60 minutes? I hope there are better tests for unbalanced candida out there! -
-
Re: rg: 7 plagues
Thu, November 12, 2009 - 4:02 PMas the candida burden lessons, your saliva becomes clear. white saliva = candida. unless you've eaten chalk or drank milk. lol
