Hey guys, tomorrow is the big day. A few final things. No pets, cash only at the gates, we will have an organized ice run for those needing it on Saturday. Gates open at noon tomorrow. If no one is there at that time we will hit you up for your gate fee as soon as a gate person is there, cash only please. Gates close at 10pm tomorrow night, then reopen at 6am the next morning. Gates will also close at 8:30 pm on saturday, fire performance beginning at 9pm. Effigy burn will start at 10pm so we can party our asses off into the night. I will be going offline in the morning so if you have any questions and I'm not online, feel free to call me at 573-239-8825. Can't wait to see you all out there. Have a safe trip and be prepared to chill out like crazy this weekend.

Orphan Burn 2 Effigy

Joe and Scuba need YOUR help. Do you have access to pallets? Do you have any space to lug said pallets with you? They are in need for some pallets to help turn the effigy from a lovable Domokun to a ball of fiery death! He does have a plan B though, so never fear in case no one has some sugar in pallet form to lay down. Those two also need a hug for their hard work, so if you can't give 'em a pallet give 'em a hug? Almost there, Orphanarium v2.0 Update.....

Well folks, we have a little more than a week to go and things seem to be pulling together beautifully. For those of you who haven't had a chance to look, there are tables to sign up for gate greeting, rangering and fire performance in the database section of the Orphanarium Yahoo! group. I'm really excited to see how things are coming along. I appreciate all of the help from the leads stepping up to the plate while my internet access was down due to my computer kicking the can.

Our effigy is going to be freaking sweet this year. Joe and Scooba have been busting their butts to put together something so sweet and kickass that you will run in fear after seeing this thing come to life. That's right, Domo-Kun himself is emerging from the ground, breaking away from his TV for a bit to visit us for Orphanarium v2.0 "The Nerd Burn". We will be burning his ass down saturday night with a full fire procession immediately before.

I am excited to see Kokopelli's coming as well as the HATEDOME coming this year. I hear that DJ Scoob will be spinning at HATEDOME so you can shake your groove thing all night long. If you are planning a theme camp, let us know so we can get the word out before hand.

Most of all, I'm very excited that this is our second year with the new name, and it's going to be bigger and better than ever. I can't wait to see everyone next week. If you have any questions about anything, shoot me an email or put one on any of the lists and I should have it answered as soon as possible. Remember to educate your guests, remember your emails, remember to clean up your MOOP, and most of all remember to have a damn fun time. Until then......

Abortion of a movie

Whoever saw and didn't enjoy the recent Speed Racer movie probably didn't "Do it right". ;)

In all my visual enhancement experience, that movie tops the list in eye-orgasams, easily surpassing Electric Sheep or even Milkdrop. However to get that experience out of this movie, a few things:

You need a large enough screen. 40+ inches. I think that'll be covered.
720p is an absolute minimum for this movie. :O! I have a .mkv file on my computer of this resolution if nobody is bringing a blu-ray player. I'll totally bring my computer too, if the current speedracer plans don't involve 720p+. (I can do VGA, DVI and Component)

Forget the plot, forget the acting. While it's great build up to the races, the races are what make the movie great- INTENSITY!!!! :) Of course I can't not love susan sarandon and john goodman. ^_^

Orphanarium v2.0 Update

Hey everyone, sorry for a major lack in communication, life has been happening. I hope everyone is getting ready for what's going to be an awesome event, Orphanarium v2.0! From projections I've heard we should have a great turn out this year. I know we've got a decent size contingent of Kentucky Burners coming up as well as people from all over.

For those of you that don't remember this event is 18+ on the weekend of August 14-16 at beautiful Ozark Avalon. Admission is $15 at the gate per person, and you must either be a member of Midwest Burners or be sponsored by a member. This event is not sanctioned by Midwest Burners, but this is one of our requirements. Remember sponsors that you are responsible for your guests so educate the hell out of them! If you are not yet a member of Midwest Burners you can become one by going to www.midwestburners.com Make sure to print out your email stating you are a member when you receive it and bring that copy with you.

I know we are going to have a blast this year. The effigy is going to be amazing and we are going to have a great time. After talking with my leads I will have more info as to schedules for rangering and gate work. I know Bittersweet already has a table posted for sign up of gate times on the Yahoo! group. If you're not a member of the Yahoo! group and need to be added to any of the schedules, just send me an email offlist. I can't wait to see everyone out there for another awesome year.

I want everyone to be thinking about things they'd like to do/see at Orphanarium v2.0. After talking with several past participants, this thing is slowly working it's way to being a 'nerd burn'. I've heard suggestions for Speed Racer on a big screen and everything else. Also thoughts of a nerdy giving tree, with duplicates of gaming things and comic books. Suggestions? Comments? Events? Let me know as you guys come up with things. This is gonna be so freakin' fun I can't stand the thought. Just wait til you see what we have in store for the effigy this year.......

Wow, where do I start? You guys helped make this one of the most memorable burns I've been to. First off I would like to thank Bittersweet for doing a spectacular job with the gate at such short notice. Mad Hatter for being my Lead Ranger and helping keep us all safe for the killer burn last night. Of course the pair of them and the refreshment that was another installment of Kokopelli's Coffee. I dunno what I would have done without you guys this morning. Next I would like to thank my effigy crew, Scooba Steve and Joe. You guys blew me out of the water with your design, construction and most of all the effort that you put in to making such an awesome effigy. For you folks that weren't there, I'm sure you'll see pictures, but they will do it no justice to the awesomeness that was Bob. To the Louisville crew, thanks for making the haul and providing us with a sweet sound camp. You guys were so much fun. Wessex, the hookah, enough said. Stryd'r and the mead, I can't believe how amazing pineapple mead can be, no matter how long it takes to kill it. To all of the new Columbia Burners I met this weekend, we have got to plan some meet ups with everyone. To Gaius and his camp of amazingness, wow. 100 year old wine, single malt scotch, amazing cous cous, the list goes on. Oh, and we can't forget the pumpkin pie hookah on friday night, courtesy of both Gaius and Katie. To OA for having such an amazing and safe place for us to burn. To Strawberry for coming out, It's been way to long but I'm so glad you made it. To everyone for making this such an amazing burn, and not being MOOPy peoples. I can't wait for next year. I think it was a good indication when I walk in the door and the wife says 'you stink, take a shower and then we'll talk' that we had an amazing time. I know there were a lot of cameras running around and video as well. Please feel free to post your stuff and let us know. I can't wait to see it all. Lastly, to Mother Nature, Thank you for letting us have at least my first burn and a lot of other peoples first burn at OA with no precipitation and amazing stars everynight. I hope everyone makes it home safely and has a great teim until our next burns coming up. You guys are all amazing. Much love to everyone and happy Burning until we meet again..........

Call to Arms (staffing needed)

I found out after I came back from the weekend that, due to circumstances out of our control, we are without both a fire lead and a gate lead for the weekend. Very crucial roles, not just anybody can fill them. Do you feel you have what it takes to handle coordination of the front gate for this event? Are you experienced with performance and performance safety for fire artists? Send me an email off list and we'll talk about the positions a little more. Volunteers are greatly welcome. As far as rangers, it all depends on who shows up. Part of my role I have figured in is Lead Ranger, since this is a smaller event. I will need 2-3 people for the weekend to be rangers, if interested. We also need somewhat of a LNT team organized. I for one will be there, but if you guys are MOOPy, like tends to happen, I don't wanna be the only one left on sunday picking up garbage. Remember to educate your guests. You are responsible for the people you bring with you. Most of all, Have fun. Seriously folks, this is time to kick back and enjoy life. I see Gaius already has it going on, who else is up to the challenge?

Pallet request for Effigy

Hey, last night I was talking to our effigy build team for the orphan burn, and we need some pallets for the build. We were wondering if anyone knew were we could get some free pallets in St. Louis, or somewhere between St. Louis and OA. Or if anyone knows were to get some and has extra room to bring some out to OA with them I am sure the build team would be appreciate the help, they have quite a bit to haul out to OA already. We appreciate any help and info we can get, we want this to be an great effigy.

Gate Workers

We do not have a gate lead as of yet, but the task will be simple. I know several of you have volunteered to help, and the help is greatly appreciated. We can iron out a gate schedule on site for the most part. I'm trying to secure some wristbands for the event as well. Does anyone know some places to pick them up? Fire Performers

For the burn on saturday night, all fire performers are responsible for bringing their own equipment as well as safety equipment and securing someone as a personal spotter while they spin. I want this to be a safe burn. All equipment shall be checked prior to spinning to make sure nothing is loose and will come detached and fly into the crowd. I want this to be a relaxed atmosphere with a lot of fun and creativity. We still don't have a fire lead per se, but I know we can pull this off with the creative minds we have in place. Let me know if you have any questions.

Effigy

Being that this will be an orphan burn, what are your guys' views on having an effigy. I know we were going to have one last year, but due to high wind warnings at the time, we had to cancel. It was also hellaciously dry. If interested, is there someone that would be willing to be lead for it? By being lead, that would entail design and organization of your effigy crew. I personally would like to see a smaller version of The Man from BRC. Thoughts?

Sorry I've not been in contact with many of you. Work has been less than pleasant and taking up quite a bit of time. I hope everyone is doing well. I hope things are coming together for everyones personal plans. Anyone working on any theme camps for the event? I haven't talked to Joseph recently, but last contact I had, sounds like our effigy is coming along nicely. I am so tired of the mundane and ready to get back with my Burner family. I miss you guys tons since I didn't get to go to IF this year, so Orphanarium will be a nice homecoming. Hopefully we can all have an amazing burn, especially with some of the fire spinning talent I know we have out there. It will be great to have a weekend to just exist with some of the best people our culture has to offer. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please voice away. Using the name Castaway

"I would like to discontinue HullabalU and then we could all go fully participate in the new St. Louis burn instead. The situation would be complimentary like in Texas where Burning Flipside is held outside of Austin in the Spring (Memorial Day weekend) by one burner organization and Myschievia is held in North Texas in the Fall by another burner organization. We all work so well as a community because we pool our energies and collaborate. Having the St. Louis burn be the multi-day Fall burn would conserve our energies, while offering a longer all ages regional event. It would only be an hour or two longer drive for those coming from the West—not much of a price to pay for a longer burn.

The situation I described would also free things up so that the August orphan burn could become an official regional burn and MWB association- organized event. If I don’t have HullabalU to focus on, I am willing to help/mentor/ advise some organizer(s) on putting the orphan burn together at OA. Aldric is cool with the name Castaway being used if the orphan burn is an association- organized event. There won’t be a conflict between the orphan burn and the Fall Burn since the orphan burn is a smaller laid-back deal for those who can’t make it to BM. Going to either InterFuse or Castaway every year would keep your MWB membership active.

I would really like to see this happen! What do you all think?

Leave No Trace

Hey everyone!

I will preface this with I really hope I do not upset anyone, but some things need to be said, and I think we're all adult enough right?

I received a call from John Becker, one of the staff members of Ozark Avalon. Ya know that wonderful magickal place we like to play? :) It was regarding the way the land was left after Shipwrecked. And I'm sorry, but it just wasnt cool. Granted I'm not entirely sure who did this stuff, but it really doesnt matter, we are all responsible for leave no trace and respecting the land. The canoes down at the lake were not tipped over so that they could drain, and when it rained they were completely full. There are some magnetic signs that belonged to OA that are missing. Coolers were left on the land. (If you are still missing a cooler please please contact John and let him know.)

I know this is probably sounding like a rant, and really do not intend anything malicious. I know I love going to OA whenever possible, I love the land, and the energy and atmosphere. We have got to respect this land. I know that we all had a great time out there, so if we want to continue to go out there for our events and use Ozark Avalon's land we've got to remember Leave No Trace! Please let's all do our part to remember this and emphasize it at every event. Ozark Avalon is kind enough to let us play there, I'd hate to see it taken away.

Shipwrecked Thanks...

Hello All,

I think i've finally recovered... whatever that means :)

Some have already posted and yes, it was a small turnout.. but i think we all still had a lot of fun. Did you know 9 people can fit into an inflatable pool? Who knew?! The heat was not nearly as unbearable as we'd anticipated and the irony was that we got a lot of rain saturday afternoon, and major winds. But we survived and made the best of it!!

Thank you to Ozark Avalon for allowing us once again to use their wonderful land. I can't descirbe how much i love going out there and relaxing!!

Thank you to Mooncrest, my first mate, and awesome Ranger. You kept me sane when i might not have been.

Thank you to Brent, Greg, Bobble, Edana, Loofah, Irish, and anyone else who helped greet with us (and of course choked the chicken in the process) You are all freakin rockstars and I couldnt have done it without you. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!! Mwah!!!

And all the others that were there friday night, Renae, Chuck, Loofah, Katie..You all are too cool for werds. :D

Effigy Plans Curtailed...

Due to the heat, winds, and just plain dryness at OA, plans to burn any form of an effigy are most likely out of the question. But dont despair, i bet we'll have fun anyway ;)

International Shipwrecked Back Scrubbing Brigade

Due to overwhelming demand (one person asked nicely) the International Interfuse Backscrubbing Brigade (IIBSB) is splintering into a new unit, the International Shipwrecked Back Scrubbing Brigade (Henceforth ISBSB)

Last year I went camping at OA when it 105 degrees out. A little hint-- It sucked. The higlight of the day was swimming at Lake Gaiea and taking several cool showers at the bog. So Officially the ISBSB will commence at 2 pm Saturday (bring cool drinks! I'll bring a rum punch!) and 9 am Sunday morning (I'll bring a carafe of coffee)

It'll be too damn hot for me to march, so I'll just hang a sign to remind y'all.

Remember, the difference between a dirty hippie and clean hippie is either a shower or a mindset.

Regarding Nudity.. .Per OA

Just as a reminder to everyone that doesnt know... Per OA rules there is to be no nudity on the grounds of OA during Shipwrecked. HOWEVER, the one exception to this rule is Frog Bog.
Frog Bog will be open to everyone during Shipwrecked, cause damn it's going to be hot!! And i want to make sure everyone stays as cool as they can, and hydrated.

The exception to the nudity lies in Frog Bog. Because it is a shower house one would expect to see nudity there, therefore it is permissable. If you are offended or do not want to see anyone's nekkidness or dont want anyone else to see your nekkidness, please feel free to use the stalls, there are 2. But the outdoor showers (on the other side of the sinks) will be public, and free to be nude.

The CRUNCH of a lifetime hit with all-too-ferocious suddenness this last week.

I must, unfortunately for me and others, bow out of Shipwrecked.

Responsibility has hit with the heaviness and impact of a 2-ton sledgehammer.

For those of you who wish to reach me in the interim, send me a PM on tribe. Here's what's going on, because I love all of you enough to think that you need an explanation from me. Next month, I take on the prestigious honor of the presidency of the Missouri section of the American Institute of Professional Geologists. October, I will be installed as vice-president of the Association of Missouri Geologists, for an unprecedented third detatched term. January '08, I will be teaching a course on underground infrastructure in Atlanta, Georgia as a board member of the Center for Underground Infrastructure Research and Education out of the University of Texas at Arlington. I still retain my adjunct faculty status at Missouri State University.

IF I can get caught up, I will be at Interfuse '08.

Then, also in March, I will be hosting the Federally-sponsored Interstate Technical Group on Abandoned Underground Mines 7th biennial meeting. May, I teach the course "Roadside Geology of Missouri" at Missouri State. June, and July will mark final preparations for THE event. We already have an art theme camp in the planning, as well as a crew of die-hard adventurers ready to take the trip. Whatever the theme.....

That also means I won't be at Shipwrecked '08.

I have a lot of writing to do, phone calls to make, people to see, planning to do, stuff to scope out. Please forgive me for not posting this sooner, and please also forgive me for not coming to Shipwrecked....it's just too much too soon too buried up to my neck in alligators, and fighting my way out.......

1 Potluck - Saturday lets says 7ish, when it starts to cool down.. :)
Please feel free to contribute! I have no idea how many to expect
right now, but honestly it'll be hot out there and we all probably
wont be in the mood to eat in the middle of the day, so lets dine
like royalty that night.

2 Effigy - Rain is incredible!! She and her crew of miscreants will
be creating a wonderful burning surprise for us all. YAY FOR FIYAAAH!!

3 - The porn ... on friday, probably late.. 10ish 11ish, not really
sure, we'll throw on the pornos. lol. BUT we'll be moving this far
away from all kiddos. Probably around mind licker. woot!

4 Pool - Just so ya know the pool will be open for us to use, along
w/ the lake and such. Hot tub is off limits. Sorry y'all.

5 I would like to have a glowstick parade like we did last year, does
anyone know where we can get a *ahem* LOT for cheap?

6 Kiddy things - We've talked about doing slip and slides and stuff
for the kids during the day, and hell for the adults too. Does anyone
already have any of these kiddy things? Water guns? Water balloons =
BAD, they'll leave moop everywhere, so please dont do water balloons.

Potluck on Saturday

Rain had a great idea about doing a potluck @ Shipwrecked. We'll be holding it near 'the man' and most likely near a fire pit, since cooking is generally easiest with FIYAAAH!

My Lil' Bro has been in Boston attending BU for the last four years, but he is now all graduated. He is trying to get into Med School for Fall if 2008, but in the meantime he is in St Louis and ready for some good times.

He is probably going to Shipwrecked, and once he gets a little taste, I am only betting that he will go to Interfuse.

Loofah's lil' bro is just like a little Loofah, except shorter, muscular, asian, and crazyier than batshit. If he does make it, it'll be nutz.

Volunteers! and stuff needed...

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far! (I know I am :D )

However it is time to start thinking about the volunteers needed for this event. If anyone is interested in greeting, rangering, medical, Leisure Army.. LNT ..Whatever. Please let me know asap.
I believe we have some radios being donated for the event, and that will be such a HUUUGE help.
OA Staff will be taking care of money so that there will not be any confusion there. But I would need greeters just to confirm they are MWB members. It's nothing real high tech, but it's always nice to have a friendly fact at the entrance.

What might be needed: Tables and shade structure (for the gate)

**Do we still want to do any sort of effigy? and if so, we need volunteers to help.

OK - So this was to be my family's 1st MWB event (sanctioned or not!). I had no problem with the principals and taught my kids how to deal with the camping aspect of LNT and MOOP. We're aware of OA's clothing policy even though we tend to camp at Gaia. I thought we were doing good until I started to pay more attention to the posts and here's what I'm getting from it. Basically, this is a wind down camping event for those that were present at IF, but this time the kids can go. Because of this, it needs to be mellow and "chill". Well, because I have kids and no sitter I couldn't go to IF. I fully intended on "getting my party on!" at Shipwrecked as it were. It truly is the only burner event that I can attend! Now I feel like it will be like walking on glass! If I'm wrong then clue me in 'cause right now I'm just trying to find a damn good reason to go!

Ok so in my initial projections it will cost quite a bit more than I expected to provide a halfway decent sound camp for an all night musical meltdown.

so it looks like we will be selling tickets to cover costs.

my question - how many would support the camp by buying a ticket. For a full on presentation tickets would be $8-$12 bucks. they would be sold seperately from the camping since they have their own pricing structure for the actual event.

Just looking for feedback at this point...

Tickets...

Ok here's the load down ladies and jelly spoons. I was talking w/ Becker this evening about this, i think the easiest thing is going to be just having a small gate, but no tickets will be issued. When the time gets closer i'll ask everyone to email me if they are coming and how many etc..at least to have a guess as to how many we'll have. Cost is $5.00 per person per night. Thanks OA! We'll have bands issued at the gate... to show who has paid etc.
Therefore, we'll need gate volunteers. Please message me if you think you might be interested. I'll probably be creating a yahoo group for this shortly, and we'll do gate shifts in 2 hour increments.

Liability waivers

hey all, what do you think about liablity waivers signed as you come in. In all honesty it wont stop a lawsuit but will show the people had intent and that they know the danger possiblities. Since this inst a MWB event with insurance. We had them at bike events as a back up. Might not hurt doing this since kids are involved and could get hurt. Just a thought

quick kid idea/treasure hunt too

FD, great idea on the treasure hunt! Sounds like fun!

I thought it may be fun to number off kids as they come to camp, and put them on pirate teams. I figured that the odd numbered kids could be one team, the even numbers the other one. Teams could be ...carribean? Spanish? Chinese? viking? Whatever types of pirates sound like fun! Schwag them out with a pirate hat and cardboard or nerf cutless, headband, whatever. Include different maps for each team on the treasure hunt, maybe? Oh, and Saturday before the burn....battle on the high seas!!!!

Kidless Burner at Kid friendly event?

Okay, I don't have kids but I am trying to get some friends of mine
with kids to attend. But a group of KIDLESS burners in their 20s-30s
are still wecome right? I just want to make sure that a kid-friendly
event isn't code for a kid-only event. Oh, I'm down with the kid
oriented events listed, I think that it'll be blast seeing the kids
run around with glowsticks and watching a bonfire. And I a child at
heart and love slip and slides.

I am stoked to have a quieter weekend with less riff raff. But now I
realize that I may be one of the riff-raff. :ppp

Us youger, more boisterous crowd will most likely just camp farther
away from the kids. In fact, moon hollow is set inside the valley at
the apex of the horseshoe, seperated by trees and whatnot. That way
we can drink our beer in peace after dark without keeping the kiddos
awake with our shennanigans.

Treasure Hunt

I've decided to do a Treasure Hunt for Shipwrecked. I wanted to do one last year, but with being an organizer, and taking on entirely way too much for one person as usual, I decided I just didn't have time last year to make it happen. So..this year, I'm going to help with other things for sure, but I'm going to bring the Treasure Hunt too.
Maev and I were talking about having 2 Treasure Hunts actually; one for the kids and one for the adults. Maybe do the adult hunt on Friday night, and the kids hunt on Saturday.

Anybody have any suggestions for or against this?

Ok so gates will open at 8:00am...

John Becker will be providing a projector, and we can let the kids watch a movie later when it gets dark, something to let them chill out too, they'll be playing all day no doubt. But before the effigy and glowstick parade, we can pop in a movie, and they can either nap or whatever.. so.. 830ish, or whenever it actually gets dark

Slip and Slide.. i dunno.. early afternoon?

Scavenger hunt? 5ish 6ish?

I know i may be being anal retentive.. but i do want some sort of schedule.. especially since we're all kinda planning on things to do, i wouldnt want them to overlap. :)

Why isn't Shipwrecked a MWB event?

I know that when Kaos started this event last year to replace Castaway that it was done with the support of Zay and Aldric. But I am curious why it isn't considered a legit Midwest Burner event? I mean, all the same people come with the exception of the kids. We still have it be a MWB members only plus guests....So, I'm just curious what makes an event official?

pirate boat idea for burn

Ok this is hard to explain but I will try and I know what I want to do with it,
2 stacks of pallets side by side, then a sheet of wood nailed to both sides, that is the main part of the ship. go off the front with 2 cut pieces angled to make the point of the front of the ship with a doll rod making the point, then just add a piece of plywood across the back to finish the wood be boat. put a mast down inbetween the 2 stacks of pallests and we are good to go. hope that explains things some. Still working on the idea and drawings but will have some soon.

Ok..yet another thing to start thinking about. Nothing is set in stone yet, but i want the thoughts to start flowing. How do we want to handle tickets?

My vote: pay OA. ( but this will have to be worked out with OA staff) One thing that is decided, and i'm just pulling rank on this, is MWB members only. You will need to bring some sort of confirmation from Zay PLEASE!! i dont want this turning into some kind of raver event, there will be kids present, and i just dont want that headache. period. Burner rules still apply, leave no trace etc. You will need to self sufficient, this will be in August, therefore it will be omg hotttt!! Be prepared.

Thoughts?? Bring it on!! oh..and...YAARRRGGG!!!

i aree this is the only time we alow kids under age to see what the burning coumunity is like.
once a year we hold this event for the kids to come and hang out .
we have a event later on for the adults in the year.
this is for the kids. to see not just for the adults
and yes i understand that some parents are ok with that idea
but
some parents do not want to subject their kids to that yet
this should be the kid friendly event

ok folks let rack our melons and see what shakes loose. some thoughts already for this yr is maybe doing some type of t-shirt frienly art work , making rattles for a drum circle, some type of art to be hung on the man, maybe a slip - n- slide( have to ask john about that first) I know alor of you have kids and know of projects for having fun. give us some ideas even if you cant make it out.

Shipwrecked 2007 clothing optional

The new Missouri say you can be nude in front
of a child as long as you don't up-set their little brain.

All it would take is some tight ass lawyer to sway a
judge and someone is going to the slammer for 15 years.

OA would not like to be the test case for this new law and
therefore is staying with the old rule of no kids if you are going
to be running around nude.

I know we're waaaaaay in advance but here goes nuthin...zay presented these questions to me...and i've tried to at least lay them out...

1) Who are the organizers/leaders of this? You are one. Will you assemble a crew to work under you or are you going to pull others in to share leadership committee style?
I am organizer, but would prefer a committe...there's no way i can do this alone. :)

2) What is the vision for the event? In other words, is this a very informal camp-out, a formal festival or something in between? Who do you want to see at your event (general public, MWB members?)
1. mwb only…same rules as interfuse
2. informal campout KID FRIENDLY

3) How is the money going to be collected? Will you have gate registration? I’ve already laid out the options on the yahoogroup. How will you keep track of the money? Will you let the community know where it goes and what happens to any extra money?

2. need mwb confirmation at gate and receipt/ ticket
3. i think any xtra money should be donated to MWB....

4) What are the rules and policies? (See the InterFuse rules for any example
