Come join us for an awesome beat church this thursday as we celebrate increadible new releases from two of our Santa Cruz homies...NANDA'S EP "somewhere between worlds" and TIMONKEY'S Album "Cerulea" both amazing musical landscapes just out on MUTI music & both available from addictech and other sources. These guys have both been developing a very unique eclectic sound influenced by a wide range of musical styles over the years evolving into a powerful moving musical experience. I feel they are both at the heart of what beat church has been offering us all over these years and we are super excited have them back to bless the church with the beats and rhythm's from the new material they have been working on. Kitty D & myself will be aloting ourselfs a little more time to throw down for you where we have lacked the last few times due to such a full line up of guests. It promises to be a very special night of new music from deeply brewed local talent, which we hope you will all come out to support this thursday...as an alternative to some of the other choices you may have. Greetings from spiritual technologies...
I am writing to invite you all out out to celebrate my 38th birthday on this Thursday Feb. 28th (my actual birthday) @ shine. My birthday just happened to fall on the Thursdays that my good friend and soul brother Mozaic is doing his new monthly at shine "MIXTAPE" I will be closing out the night around 1:00am and in the style of my interpretation of "mixtape" will be playing and extra eclectic set retrospecting my 24 years as a dj. Oiled bird cisis

Dear Friends,
I am not a group email person but I I know many of you share my distress about Wednesday’s oil spill that is at this moment choking wildlife and polluting the Bay waters as far as the Faralones.
From my brief research there is a crisis of response. Official guidelines from agencies below are discouraging untrained volunteer action and yet grass roots and concerned neighbors are out on the beaches today, doing what they can. The level of toxicity means people cannot work for very long.
I provide the links below to inform your own response, from donation of time, money or organization skills.

The consequences and clean up must manifest over time, so if you cannot help this week, please keep the Bay in your thoughts and prayers and stay in the loop.

I have a spot reserved in the How Berkeley Can you BE? parade~ and I would like to perform along side a group that allready has worked together. Perhaps, at least 3 or 4 other people. I just want to have fun and I can work around your act.

This is to perform and parade this Sunday Sept. the 30th. I would really like to perform and I allready have some Puppets and masks created and ready to go.

I have paraded in alot of protests... at Burning Man, and with Bread and Puppet theater in Vermont, and more.
I am a percussionist / puppeteer / performer/visual artist getting into clowning and dance.

i have lots of ideas, and can improvise quickly. We could meet once or twice before and then parade at the end of the month.
I have some people who can show up and be extra hands but it would be GREAT to accompany someone who allready has a group, costumes and act together.
My troupe from this summer has moved there own ways now that fall has started, then I got sick, and now.... The show must GO on. : )
I am trying to use the spot I have reserved and ... I just want to have fun parading.... I would like to throw a puppet mask on... then dance and clown around. Please reply soon, as we should meet up this week or next and I need to contact the Parde people w/ changes.

I Have room in my RV for one or two more cool friends who could pick me up in Santa Barbara, right off the 101North Freeway, Saturday the 24th and drive us up to my 40foot delux RV which is in Sacramento right off of I-80 Freeway, which is the main freeway to the Burn! ... either leave your car there in Sacramento and jump in the RV, or drive your own car to Burningman. I will be picking up a few lovely goddesses at the Sac Airport Sunday, the 25th at 7pm, then drive twards the Burn, entering with the RV Monday the 27th, since we might be short a few "early-entry" passes.

NBC TV show Journeyman

Beau Bonneau Casting is seeking Extras with Cars from 1975 - 1995 for NBC's new fall series Journeyman which will be shooting July 23-27 in San Francisco.

Journeyman is about a modern-day man that travels back in time to help people. Many scenes are set to take place in the 1980s, '90s, and modern day. There is a strong need for Extras with late 70's to mid 90's Cars. Vehicles must be in good working condition. Extras with cars must be 18 and over and may drive as street traffic or work as various background roles to include Businessmen and women, Tourists, Pedestrians, Homeless, Hippies, etc. with cars parked. Please Note: No Red, White, or Brightly Colored Cars will be used.

Television shoots are long, lasting 10-12 hours or more. We never know the start time or location until the day before. Saying you're available means without interruption, from very early morning to late-evening. If selected, the Non Union extra rate is $73.12 for 8 hours, with overtime applied after 8 hours. This is a standard film/television extra rate based on the minimum wage in San Francisco, and is set by production not Beau Bonneau Casting. If selected with car, you will receive an additional payment, up to $35, for vehicle allowance.

Looking for fire play and every play for Charter School benefit!

Hey guys,

I got a phone call from someone in Sonoma trying to schedule some kind of street performers (ideally fire!) to reel people in from the outside for their benefit... I would do it alone, but ideally it'd be awesome to get a few dancers, spinners, drummers, stilters, musicians of sorts, hoopers... and we can have a really good time helpin them out.

Basically what we do is dance..... play.... dress-up... entertain and bring people in. The date is Saturday, March 10th from 5-7p, so she's giving me time.... and I'd love to gather with some people to maybe coreograph somethin. Open to ideas as well.... with over a month we have some time to rally some people up.. if it's dry next Tuesday, I'm at the jam. Hope to hear from you guys! it's third year running was the mad tea party with a book
& c.d. to accompany.
the 4th year is set to be in co-operation with
the lucid dream lounge.
this is the culmination of a lifetimes connection to
the writings of Lewis Caroll,
here was my original Idea :I'ts a glam rock opera,
Spacey sci-fi, I like ziggy style, and kabuki japanese
cats, bunraku, noh theatre. this is a description of
a young lewis caroll, in some fanciful asian opium den,
being served and having the hallucination that he
watered down to create alice's adventures in
wonderland. focusing on the bestiary of "Jabberwok"
, the white rabbit, the tea party, and a god-like
presence of the cheshire (cat).
seeking performers, puppet craft, and hosts for
this would bee epic of psychedelic performance art.

at this point a page begins calling forth the appointed

(2-3 songs) which can work with a wonderland style

when it comes time for the hatter to sing,
he does so off key & tempo, so badly that the
queen shouts: "stop him! he's murdering time!!!"
and a guard roughly ejects the hatter from the "stage".
perhaps a bit of mumbling as the court complains
of the hatter's ruination of the concert.
focus shifts to the tea party set.
mad hatter: Oh bugger! they've broken my watch!
march hare: let me see that watch hatter.
(smears it with a thick layer of butter)
that should do the trick.
hatter: (shakes watch & listens) nope, it's still broken
now, we'll be stuck in tea time forever.
dormouse: play us a song hatter, to help us pass the time
hatter plays white rabbit....

at this point a mock turtle comes in with
a taureen of hot green soup, followed by a
gryphon.
hatter: I say there, mock turtle what's that

mock: it is a most beautiful soup! try some
(ladles some into tiny cups passing some to the party)
hatter:delicious!
as the band strikes up the beautiful soup song

Meriana de Jager and Ty Gesyuk would like to invite you to a bi-weekly poly/open relationships support group, beginning Sunday, November 5th from 6-8 PM, in the Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco.

We believe that each individual has an inner knowing of what relationship models fits them best so this group is being formed in order to help you create more choices in relationship.
We will:
* discuss the difference between polyamory and open relationships.
* share concerns around why different models of relating hasn't worked for you.
* focus on specific issues such as jealousy management, the negotiating of boundaries, etc.
* ascertain which models of relating is best for you and learn how to assert and manage each one.
* discuss and provide information, tools and skills about how to create more options for either polyamory or open relationships.
* illuminate the ways in which we stop ourselves from getting what we want.
* offer integration techniques for successfully negotiating differences in relationship models.

We are committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for communication, innovation and experimentation. There will be plenty of room for discussions and exchange of experiences, as well as guided exercises and structured interactions.

This group is open to individuals and couples with all kinds of experiences with poly/& open relationships from any sexual orientation. You are welcome whether you are already in or contemplating an open/polyamorous relationship, or you are much more monogamous with a polyamorously inclined partner.

THE FACILITATORS:

Meriana de Jager earned her Masters in Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies and is currently working at New Perspectives Center for Counseling. She has been working with individuals and couples for 5 years. Some of the psychotherapeutic modalities she has extensive training and practice in are Psychodynamics, Cognitive Behavioral, Hakomi, RCS and Body-centered psychotherapy.
Meriana feels strongly about each persons right to create for themselves the life they truly desire. She is passionate about helping people find, define and be empowered in what is true for them and is committed to helping them actualize it in their lives.

TY GESYUK has worked as a personal coach for many years and has interviewed thousands of couples on what makes a healthy relationship last. His approach in coaching couples is rooted in the oriental wisdom of nature. Apart from working as a personal coach he has an extensive background in yoga, meditation, dance, massage, martial arts, nutrition and personal training. He draws from modern and ancient systems to teach, in simple terms, a language of health. His core belief is that health equals freedom. After observing people suffer with health concerns and in a prison-of-sorts from their pain, he vowed to do something about it. Since then he has founded three centers of health, taught over a hundred thousand yoga students, and massaged at least twenty thousand people.
