On a divinatory level, the card of Strength implies a situation where a collision with the lion within is inevitable, and where a creative handling of one's own rage and senseless pride is desirable. Courage, strength and self-discipline are necessary to battle with the situation. Through such an experience we can come in contact with the beast, but also with that part of us which is Heracles, the hero who can subdue it. Thus the Fool, having developed the faculties of the mind and feeling, now learns to deal with his own ferocious egotism, emerging from this contest with trust in himself and integrity toward others.

Wed, January 4, 2006 - 7:22 PMI shuffled and drew for a few consecutive days...I kept getting the High Priestess over and over.
She augers the heightening of the powers of intuition, and implies there will be an encounter of some kind with the hidden realm of inner world sensing that "something" is at work in one's life. Having learned something of the physical nature, the Fool now enters the night-world and comes, to that silent figure who embodies Mother on another, deeper and subtler level - the womb of the unconscious in which the secret of his real purpose and pattern of his destiny are contained.
Makes sense, last year I kept drawing Temperance which indicated the need to gain a balanced heart. And last year's journey taught me very deep heart lessons which seem to have lead me to this card.
I'm intrigued to learn what this new journey will bring.
