I am starting my final project for my bachelor's in photography this fall. The project I have selected is part historical study of the Tarot, part a collection of portraits I have taken. The project, in a nutshell, is a deck of playing cards where each card correlates to its Tarot equivalent via the symbolism inherent in the portrait that is the card.
So I am looking for a master of the Tarot who is also preferably an art historian or studio artist. The thing is, this project is to graduate from college, so whoever is my project advisor can NOT be a dabbler, a self-proclaimed "master", or even very experienced in Tarot (sorry). You must have a degree that relates somehow to either art history, art theory, history, religion, or any other applicable field, you must have experience with a variety of decks and interpretations - you almost certainly must have scholarly study of the Tarot.
If anyone on this forum is or knows someone who might be interested in being an advisor to this project, please contact me. Obviously, as I live in Portland, OR, the best-case-scenario would be someone who also lives in Portland - but that is NOT a necessity.
