AAI would like to recognize the Arab Americans who were sworn in this week to elected offices throughout the country. Four Arab Americans once again took the oath to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives: Rep. Ray LaHood (R-Ill.), Rep. Charles Boustany (R-La.), Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Rep. Nick Rahall (D-W.Va.). Arab Americans also took oaths across the country to serve in state legislatures, governor’s offices, at all levels of municipal government and on the bench as judges. AAI congratulates these officeholders and wishes them much success and great accomplishments in their elected offices.

Re: Arab Americans Take Oath of Office Across the Country
Sat, January 13, 2007 - 9:40 AMMy mother is originally from Charleston, WV. We've been a fan of Nick Rahall for a million years. My grandmother used to campaign for Jay Rockefeller in that state and Nick is another fine Democrat!
Love, Aziza
