First there was Dada Motel, an art event people are still talking about. Then there was "Selections from Dada Motel" at UNLV, that got pretty good press from what I have read. Now there is "Dada Motel" the film by Project Moonshine about to premiere at the Reno Film Festival.
Tell me again why the name is changing?

Beating the dead, crusty horse
Mon, April 28, 2008 - 8:01 PMwhy not? ––You of all people Trelaine should be cozy with absurdity. I mean, are we a business? Are we an 'art festival'? Do we make anyone fill out 'Nada Motel" on their insurance papers if they want to act out with us? Is there a fucking C.E.O. here? Why does a Nevada cultural event NEED a name? They'll know it's 'us'!
By the way, the name of next spring's museum show in Vegas: "Greetings from Nada Motel" And I bet there will be another film named Nada this time. Anyone got a camera?
Also, not to get too serious and fucking boring, but we already have more artists than last year involved–some from other cities, articles coming out, people around the world chatting on blogs about us (It certainly hasn't hurt us to change names). Jefe and I, Noble Instigator and Ignoble Wringleader respectively, feel very strongly that not hanging on to any certain name, even one as good at Dada Motel, will reinforce the idea that this event is YOURS!! STEAL IT!!!!!!!
GO MAKE SOME FUCKING TEESHIRTS WITH YOUR OWN NADA LOGO, MAKE SOME SHOT GLASSES, MAKE A WEBSITE, BUY ALL THE NADA MOTEL DOMAINS YOU WANT AND WRITE A BOOK... ITS YOURS!!! 'Cause the next year, as long as the public vote dictates, we'll be calling it something else.

BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN NUSSING LEBOWSKI!
[end Germanic nihilist]
Because if the name did not change we would be lacking anarchy, which is a key component of what makes this event great. The chaordic mixture must be stirred. I will personally guarantee (100% Money Back Sunday Sunday) that the name change will not affect our recognition or press coverage.
