I suppose that this is the anarchy–at work–that we've invited in.

I speak for no one but myself when I say that the event is called Nada Motel this year. I know that Neon Jeff agrees, other than that I cannot say what people intend to call themselves, but I've heard there is indeed a big Dada constituency still afloat. So far, I've found this argument, discussion, disagreement–boring to be frank. But since I'm Chad, I wanna get to planning this event, tShirts are bein' made, there's a funeral for Dada being planned, neon in the TownHouse to shine bright in everyone's windows. 17 artists have filled the Cortez so far and artists are starting to trickle in to the TownHouse. I want the firespinners to happen there too, in the parking lot, visible across the street from some of the Cortez windows. I wonder if drumming could happen there too, the sound of those guys echoing through the Reno streets is haunting I'm sure.

We've gotta overtake the TownHouse for these things to happen though. I have faith, and friends, to help spread the word to the masses on the coast, Las Vegas and elsewhere. Help me tell them that Reno's a great place to get away TO if their life permits it. Recruit yourselves to aid in this cause and our event will be very frickin' famous very quickly. Viral market this shit!

But I dunno, what if the Cortez was Dada Motel and each hotel/motel gets it's own name? TownHouse would be Nada Motel i guess. There are 6 more motels within 2 blocks that can be filled up as interest grows from artists from outta town–the others from Reno too for that matter. We have more than 500 artists just living here. I think alot of artists just want to be invited. Anyhoo...

I, NadaMotelSpokesperson#5, do here-by proclaim: The event/occurance named ...SUCH&SUCH...MOTEL will forever be the last weekend of June, Thursday thru Sunday. My dream is that this creative phenomenon would from here on out just happen that weekend here in Reno–automatically. Eventually artist types from everywhere would be drawn here to our down&out Art Mecca just to be around that many artists with open doors. And no papers to fill out, beside the room bill of course. That's my dream. The rest would flock here too, to see what the artists are up to.

This is an art fair of a different kind. Cheap self-promotion, as well as–A FUCKING BLAST.

The name of this event is both IMPORTANT and NOT IMPORTANT. We want people to take it into their own hands and make Reno their own showground. We get big enough and the world will have to wonder what's up with Reno and it's art crowd? It's all over the internet and growing every day. Mutual self-interest and discussion about such is drawing interest from the public and more artists are wanting to be here for this thing–whatever ya' call it. They say "what the fuck are these weirdo artists doing? I'm there."
