Sausan, a former student of Nakish, is my mentor and I have heard so many great things about her. Most belly dancers of color, particularily black dancers, know of Nakish and often wonder where she is and what she's up to? Is she still involved in the dance community at all?

When I was in San Francisco doing the workshop with Suhaila, both Jamila and Suhaila said great things about her. When I go back to San Fran, I hope I will have an opportunity to meet Nakish.
