Nalbinging Needles

Hello! We are new to this group and found it while doing research on nalbinding. We were asked to make some nalbinding needles for a customer and had never heard of this fascinating fiber art. This group has so much helpful info!

well, I have been doing this on edges. But to do a whole thing with this.And with such thin yarn... Don't know if I have the patience for that.

Not so new to naalbinding

I have actively been practicing this craft for about 4 years however, I learned more than 20
years ago. I have pretty much stuck to the basic stitch, using recycled fabric to make rugs.
I made a shaped egg basket liner which turned out very well.

I participate in a summer show series and have received lots of compliments but
the rugs do not sell all that well.

I stick to small bathmat size rugs because anything larger than 30" takes way too much time
and fabric for the pricepoint.

Has anyone succeeded with square fabrication? I have tried both back and forth and
'in-the-round' with triple-stitch corner technique without any appreciable success.

What are you working on at this moment?
I am finishing a hat with red wool in the mammen stitch.
My next project is to learn some new stitches. I found some nice links on the net with video's.
