Narnia is a treasured childhood memory for many. Thanks to the film, many more have been introduced to the wonderful series. The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe did great at the box office, so I know there are lots of potential members for our (currently) tiny tribe out there. So I'd like to ask all of you if you know of other tribes in which I (or you!) could post an announcement letting Tribers know about us. Also, if you have friends here on Tribe.net who might be interested in joining, PLEASE take a moment to send them an invitation And finally, you might know of non-Tribers who love the books as much as we do. This would be a fantastic opportunity to get them to join Tribe.net in general, and our Narnia tribe in particular. Thanks in advance for your help!

You might want to post it in the Middle Earth tribe, as well.
Hmmmm. I just thought of something. I'm going to check something out. If I find what I'm looking for, I'll tell you here what it is. If not...
I'll try to spread the word where possible. -

Okay, that was a fruitless search. *sigh* I was hoping to possibly find a "Young Life" tribe. (It's a non-denominational group for youth. Mostly high school, but sometimes there are alumni groups. ) I didn't have any luck under "Guideposts Magazine" either.
However, I did realize that you might want to post about the tribe in the fantasybooks tribe:
fantasybooks.tribe.net/ I think you have a good chance of finding some fans there. ;) -

btw - And I don't mean to 'hijack' your thread Christopher, but I just wanted to mention that I moderate a *Unicorns!* tribe, in case anyone is interested. I only mention it, as there were Unicorns in Narnia.
And even if you aren't interested, if you know anyone who *might* be, please pass on the info. You can find the tribe here:
unicorns.tribe.net/
Thanks. -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.

Okay, immediately after posting my last message here, I had a "DUH!" moment!
I have posted an invite to your tribe in my *Unicorns!* tribe. There may be folks there interested in a Narnia tribe, for the same reason folks might be interested in a Unicorn tribe. (Wait, does that make sense? Maybe I should head for bed...? )
Anyway, just trying to do my part to build up this group. ;) -

Sat, June 3, 2006 - 12:56 PMThanks! Now if there were only Tribes for centaurs, talking beavers, etc., we'd be an absolutely HUGE Tribe, lol. -

Well, I *did* find this tribe:
tribes.tribe.net/centaursatbm
I am not certain if they are exclusively about Centaurs at Burning Man...
There's also a Sagittarian group...
I'm kind of afraid of what searching for "talking beavers" might turn up... :P -

Re: Our Tiny Tribe
Sat, June 24, 2006 - 10:03 PMNot sure if you're requesting my permission or someone else's, but of course I am for anything that advances the cause of Narnia. And please remember, this is not MY tribe - it is YOUR tribe. I am merely a protagonist and perhaps also a catalyst. But by taking action, you are also a catalyst. Go forth and conquer!
