  • Belly dance cruise for both the experience and those with no belly dance
    experience. For those into tribal and those into cabaret


    The cruise sails from Port of Miami , FL with stops Grand Cayman,
    Cozumel, Ocho Rios and 3 Full Days of Dance Workshops!!
    There will be belly dance workshops on board ship, Wednesday night dance
    party, & Friday night Hafla Show.

    Beginner classes will be offered for anyone wishing t o learn the
    awesome art of belly
    dance! This class is strictly for beginners...no experience necessary!!
    Each day at Sea we will offer dance programs which include :
    *belly dance workshops each day at sea (beginner and Advanced Skills )
    *private casual dance party Wednesday evening
    *Friday night Hafla Show with solo and group performances- all are
    welcome to perform !
    Exact workshop & Hafla schedule will be provided prior to sailing .
    Please bring your own hip scarves, veils, zills and other costuming.

    Instructors:
    Ava Fleming:
    With her extensive knowledge and experience in international dance
    styles, Ave Fleming brings a truly unique and modern approach to the
    belly dance community.L ocated in Phoenix, Arizona, her teaching and
    performances throughout the Southwestern region have created quite a
    demand for her practice of Raks Sharqi. Her focus on isolations and
    music interpretation has captivated audiences here in the U.S. and
    abroad. As the director, choreographer, and creator of the Black Opal
    Dance Company, audiences have had the opportunity to see her creative
    dance style amplified by ten. Ava's 2004 Belly Dancer of
    the Universe title (Egyptian category) has only furtherd her popularity
    with all who have seen her dance. Ava's instructional and performance
    dvds have inspired and challenged many who have taken on the task of
    studying her elegant example of the modern belly dancer through which
    novices and
    masters alike will gain challenge and insight


    Kami Liddle:
    Kami's style is what she calls a modern fsuion of an ancient dance.
    Although she is primarily a tribal dancer, she pulls from the various
    styles of belly dance that she has studied, as well as modern, hip hop,
    jazz, and bhangra dance. Kami performs both as a solo artist and also
    collaborates wh iotther dancers. She is a guest artist for The Indigo,
    directed by Rachel Brice, and has also worked with Samatha Riggs of Boom
    Boom Bollywood on choreography and periodically performs with the
    company. Kami was nominated for "Best Kept Secret" and "Best
    interpretive Artist" for 2005
    Zaghareet Magazine and won the title "Entertainer of the Year 2005" at
    the Wiggles of the West. Kami currently tours with The Bellydance
    Superstars.


    Samantha Riggs:
    Samantha Riggs is the Founder, Artistic Director, Choreographer and Lead
    Dancer for bothB oom Boom Bollywood and The Sexy Scallywags Pirate
    Circus in Tempe, Arizona, and is a performer with Fyrae fire arts
    troupe. She was the assistant director as well as a core dancer,
    teacher, musician and choreographer Dfoorm ba Tribal Fusion Dance Troupe
    (winners of the 2006 Zaghareet "Best Troupe" award) from 1996 until
    their dissolution in October of 2006. Samantha has traveled the world
    teaching Bollywood Style Dance, Tribal Style Bellydance, Tribal Fusion,
    Fire Arts and Pirate Bellydance. Her serious obsession with Bollywood
    movies has, over the years, infected others... leading to her higher
    goal of connection and understanding between the Western and the Ind-Ao
    merican communities. Samantha has a long history on stage withm any
    other forms of theatre arts including fire performance, stage combat,
    acting, stand-up comedy and comedy improv, singing, drumming and folk
    dancing .

    • A Golden Opportunity in the Gold Country: 3-Day Intensive Retreat
      with Rachel Brice and Ariellah December 5-7, 2008

      EVENT DESCRIPTION: Imagine yourself immersed in dance, surrounded by the beauty of the California Gold Country. You wake each morning to a beautiful view and breakfast on a veranda overlooking lush countryside and vineyards. Your days are leisurely paced with morning and afternoon classes, picnic lunches on the grounds with a question/answer time with the instructors and plenty of time for relaxation. Your nights are filled with a Friday night special dinner with the instructor’s at a local Bed and Breakfast with a world renowned chef and on Saturday a performance by Ariellah, Rachel and guests at Black Bart’s Theater in nearby Murphys. This is a once in a lifetime experience that is not to be missed!

      ACCOMODATIONS: The accommodations will be at the Querencia Bed and Breakfast (www.querencia.ws/). “The Q” is located in the middle of 40 acres on a remote ridge top in the heart of California’s Gold Country, with views of mountains, vineyards, and countryside in all directions. The fenced garden area contains a small vineyard, a vegetable, herb, and flower garden, and a fish pond. Three oaks are joined by shade cloth to make an outdoor room and the garden has plenty of places to eat a meal, read a paper or share a bottle of wine. Outside the fenced garden there are roads and paths to explore, with places for picnics and even a private outdoor shower with its own wilderness view that is rustic, but not primitive. Lodging, including breakfast, evening wine and appetizers, are included in both the platinum and gold packages that are being offered. “The Q” has well appointed accommodations with luxury embellished rooms and private baths. “The Q” has four rooms for occupancy during this event.       The gold packages include all classes (Dec. 5-7, 2008), meals (Friday lunch through Sunday lunch) and accommodations for check-in Friday and check-out Sunday.       Day Pass $200 (per day)

      There are 17 days passes available for Friday through Sunday. Day passes include lunch and classes for one day only. Special for all three days of classes and lunches for $500.

      SHOW TICKETS: Show tickets will be available for $15 before November 1, 2008 and will be $20 at the door the night of the performance on a first come basis. The show will be at the Murphys Black Bart Players Theater (580 S. Algiers St. Murphys, Ca 95247) on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008. Doors open at 7:30 P.M.

      DEPOSIT: A $200 deposit will reserve your space at this event and is on a first come, first reserved basis. Total balance is due no later than November 1, 2008.

      REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY: Deposit is non-refundable, non-transferable. There are no other refunds offered for this event.
